We shouldn't be trying to remove struggle from math. We should be adding it back in--and without the performance adjective of "productive". Mathematics is not a a chore or a project. Mathematics is a lifetime devotion to beauty. We teach the skeleton of math; not the soul.

@GlueGobs My school let me make paw mosaic made of diskettes on my wall. I just asked and was expecting a no, but surprised with such support.

Teachers allowed to paint their walls/doors/etc whatever color they choose have me like 🤯. The schools I’ve worked at would hit me with a rake if I tried that.

Reason 65,826 that I love my school. Reports are due on Tuesday so we have a teacher work day to work on grades, comments, planning, that's right a whole day to ourselves to get things done! Not pd, not meetings, work. We can even work from home if we wanted. #feelrespected

When you feel tired and exhausted how do you keep going?
