Hard truth:
Schools cannot fully overcome poor parenting.
Teachers are burning out trying to do the jobs of educator, counselor, disciplinarian, and parent all at once.
At some point, accountability has to return to the home.

@Fritschner So judges aren't supposed to rule on things that people voted for? The hell kind of argument is that? No point in a constitution if it's not followed...and the judge's jobs is to ensure that it's followed...regardless of whose wittle feelings they hurt.

The 4-3 majority opinion is a 20-page rambling discourse on semantics drawing on Ralph Waldo Emerson and Samuel Johnson. The dissent by the Chief Justice concisely shreds it by quoting the law and VA Constitution. Four people overturned 3 million votes, and it’s 1000% political.

@educator4ever36 Seen it with my own eyes as a special ed teacher. Shifting kids out of resource into a co-teach setting lowers the ceiling for the whole class.

This teacher says what schools won’t tell you. Unless your child is in advanced content or lucky enough not to be in an inclusion class, the rigor of general education has disappeared in favor of the special education students. I do not blame the teachers for this. I do not blame the special education students for this. No one benefits. How long will we keep this charade going?

Teacher says there's no longer a difference between special education & general education. He says every teacher is special ed now, what with all the IEPs and 504s. My 2¢: the overly inclusive model is unfair to everyone involved!

Sometimes I wonder why Louisville seems relatively expensive given its a barely-growing city then I see stuff like this and its like oh yeah.

FWIW, Sorsby turned 21 in January 2025. Any alleged sports wagering he did before then in Ohio and Indiana would have not only broken NCAA rules but state laws.
