A4: When using FlipGrid, I moderate anything that posted. I allow them to comment to their peers, but the comment goes through me first. This allows me to monitor what is being said and make sure there aren’t any misconceptions. @tylerisdlearn #1stTeachChat

A3: No one knows your students better than you. You know the students that need the extra push and who works well together or who doesn’t. Purposeful grouping leads to better outcomes. Seeing students help students is one of my favorite things. #1stTeachChat

Yes!!! This is a favorite of mine too! Asking “Who’s partner had something great to share?” not only helps them build each other’s confidence, but reinforces speaking/listening to understand others. #1stTeachChat

A2: I love to use Think Pair Share with sentence stems, but when I call on a student I ask them what their partner said. This enforces the structured conversation as well as teaching students to listen to understand. @tylerisdlearn #1stTeachChat
