The DMK government between 1996 and 2001 planned a railway overbridge between Vengamedu and Karur towns. Unfortunately, the government changed after construction began. Jayalalithaa put the project on the back burner, causing severe distress for around one lakh people. The project was finally completed only after the DMK returned to power in 2006.

In 2005 Chief Minister Jayalalithaa was opposing this Kathipara project however under the pressure of Union Roadways Minister the TN Govt initiated land acquisition and other preliminary activities ADMK even protested this Kathipara project citing it will make congestion Despite all these agitations Union Minister TR Baalu continued this project and completed within 3 years. Infact I remember Kalaignar visiting this site before starting the project and drawn a handsketch to explain how the grade separator should be like.. and based on that rough plan the project assessment started. For that many shops need to be cleared and acquired. ADMK opposed this land acquisition also. Jayalalithaa being a CM refused to participate in the ground breaking function as some news says that time. Even refused to send Ministers for this function. Kathipara, Metro, Maduravoyal elevated highway and many other schemes are blocked by ADMK and now they are rushing to take credit 😀😀😀

Recently I visited Hampi (Karnataka). A few observations from a first time visitor POV -People out there really talk in highly encrypted language. Zero chance of understanding what other people are talking about. -Hampi is all about architecture and history. -Every tourist spot shut down at 6 pm. Basically no nightlife -Regarding food, being purely vegetarian is tough. Most of the cafe serve both veg and non veg together. Last, South Indian food tastes better in North India.

If I was Vijay, I wouldn’t have chased INC or NDA. I would have wooed NTK, Sasi, Ramdoss, OPS, TTV, smaller muslim/dalit and community based parties to build a big coalition. Such an alliance would have easily polled 17-20% with a chance to win at least 10 seats. But Vijay is a political novice.

Had @TVKVijayHQ allied Ramadoss & Sasikala surely the alliance would have surely got 15-20%. It would ve been a huge gain for Vijay, Bussy and @KASengottaiyan were interested for the alliance. But it was John Arokiyasamy who is close to Anbumani who made sure this alliance did not happen. One day @actorvijay will understand about all treacherys by John.
