At no point did I state I was referring to operational comms, and even if I was - emails are still very efficient in functional economies. Enjoy the Sunday x

In my 7 years of professional experience in Malawi, only Sunbird had an efficient emailing system, which I found impressive. You would send an email, and get a response and engagement from everyone within minutes. This is normal everywhere else (I have worked), but not in Malawi.

@NthandaManduwi @yhans013 Just because something is used very much, doesn't make it efficient. Accessible, yes. Not efficient. Anyway, just open yourself up to the idea, I haven't worked in huge organizations but I have worked in a very busy industry requiring const comms.

@msiska_smith @yhans013 Emails are extremely efficient and are very much used in all the big international organisations around the world (I have worked in several), in internal and external comms alike. They are not for "high-level comms" lol

@NthandaManduwi @yhans013 Perhaps I should elaborate. You are sending over a contract - Use email. You are checking progress on a task - use slack. Chances are, you will do the later more than the former. And slack is better at that than email.

@NthandaManduwi @yhans013 Emails are not very efficient when it comes to operational communications. It best to use tools such as slack for that. Emails should only be used for high level communications.
