@NCRCisLIT Q5: We do have a PTA, but I don't know a lot about it. They do support us by providing dinner for us on conference night!

@NCRCisLIT Q4: I used to ask a local poet to come in and share his work and process with us during our poetry units.

@NCRCisLIT Q3: I agree that field trips are so important! We used to go to the zoo every year, and the kids LOVED it!

@NCRCisLIT Q2: We do parent/teacher conferences? Ha! But used to do a charity dodgeball tournament, there are choir/band/orchestra concerts, and a lot of sporting events

@NCRCisLIT Q1: We do a lot of drives: food, clothes, candy. Student council and SOS reach out a lot.

@NCRCisLIT A.5 7th grade ELA - I love using The Color Monster by Anna Llenas.

@NCRCisLIT A.4 I also don't teach this, but I love to read One by Kathryn Otoshi to my daughter. We talk about numbers, but also colors and bullying.

@NCRCisLIT A.3 Um... I don't do that, but I love Little Owl's Night, and it has taught my little girl about nocturnal animals!

@NCRCisLIT A.2 I Wish You More - We read this on the last day of school and then I ask students to sign it. It's like "our yearbook."

With our added space it’s allowed our athletes to work on what they need/want to. Cages open for swinging & the plyo wall for some ground ball work.

Our guys all working on things they need/want to work on. Bennett w/ some long PVC patterning, Greek working on staying connected w/ the plyowall, Landon working on his hands & Cars doing some arm care. What do you want to get better at & what do you need to get better?
