Remember when the army brats went after DRDO because defense X was against imports. This is something you can never import. No one will sell you this. Trust indigenous companies for your defense procurement. They are the only ones that will produce for you when you really need it
Malay Krishna@Malay4Product

This is one of the biggest engineering wins India has had in years, and it deserves so much appreciation! What got tested today isn't just any missile. It's a missile that can carry many nuclear warheads at once, with each warhead going to a different target hundreds of kilometres apart. On top of that, the warhead doesn't fall in a normal arc that enemy defence systems can predict. It glides at over five times the speed of sound and changes direction mid-flight, which makes it almost impossible to shoot down with anything any country has today. Putting all three things into one missile, MIRV, hypersonic glide, and 5,000 plus km range, is incredibly hard. The only countries in the world that have done this are the US, Russia, China, and now India. That's it. The story behind it is the part that should make every Indian proud. This whole journey started in 1983 under Dr APJ Abdul Kalam at DRDO. Five missiles to be built, all indigenous, with names you'll recognise. Prithvi, Agni, Trishul, Nag, Akash. The West had blocked us from buying any of this technology. We had to figure out everything ourselves. The materials. The on-board computers. The fuel. The guidance. The warhead miniaturisation. Every part of this is a separate hard problem, and DRDO labs along with ISRO, BARC and dozens of partners cracked them one by one over four decades. Forty-three years from a small missile programme to a missile that puts India in the same club as the US, Russia and China. Done under sanctions, on a fraction of their budgets, with no foreign help. There aren't many engineering stories in the world that look like this. :) The bigger point is what this means for India's safety. With this missile, no enemy can wipe out India's nuclear weapons in a surprise attack, because the launchers can move anywhere, each missile carries many warheads, and the warheads can't be shot down. Hats off to DRDO, the Strategic Forces Command, and every engineer who has spent decades quietly building this capability for India. And a quiet thank you to Dr Kalam, whose dream in 1983 has finally taken this shape. 🇮🇳

As I read more about the Agni MIRV, my heart swells with immense gratitude for our brilliant team at the @DRDO_India and the Strategic Forces Command. MIRV not only carries multiple nuclear warheads but can strike multiple targets in just one missile system. This “Divya Astra” moves in such an advanced trajectory that its interception is extremely difficult. In short, India’s nuclear deterrence is now almost impossible to eliminate We are now one of the handful of countries in the world to possess this phenomenal technology - entirely conceptualised, designed and manufactured in India 🇮🇳 This is indeed a watershed moment for Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Himanta Biswa Sarma@himantabiswa

India’s successful Advanced Agni MIRV missile trial is a proud milestone for Bharat’s strategic and technological strength 🇮🇳🚀 Heartiest congratulations to our brilliant DRDO scientists and Armed Forces and for continuously strengthening India’s defence capabilities with indigenous innovation under the leadership of Adarniya @narendramodi ji. A stronger Bharat is a safer Bharat. 🇮🇳

LCA Mk2 prototype is fully coupled and near complete since ~30 months. But MoD has not shown even one photo. Why? → GE engine deal is still not signed. Showing the jet before engine contract is finalised weakens our negotiations stance. → The imported IRST sensor for first prototype has not arrived yet. Rollout without it means aircraft looks incomplete. A loud cry after initial cheer will outweigh the impact. → India always turns big defence moments into big events. Tejas Mk1A, INS Vikrant every reveal had PM, cameras, ceremony. Mk2 will be no different. → The jet is near ready in the hangar. The photo will come but only when India decides the moment is right.

A Prominent Defence Journalist and his YouTube Channel on Payroll of Several D P S Us and other Defence Companies is Running a tight smear campaign against the Indian Air Force trying to create a Turf War amongst the Services Specifically trying to Isolate the IAF. The Resentment of these D P S Us against the IAF has increased specially after a Known “Indian public sector aerospace and defence company” wasn’t included in the AMCA Project. >> First during the Book launch of another Senior Journalist he deliberately asked Question regarding the Rocket Force to Former Vice Chief of Air Staff, to which the Former VCAS replied something that was latched on by people who don’t know that Rocket Force/Missile Force is Fundamentally the Doctrinal Construct of Communist Countries like USSR (Now Russia) and China because USSR provided technology and Assistance to China and now Iran got similar Missile Technology from China hence it has also reorganised a Rocket Force/Missile Force. Concept and Reorganisation like Rocket Force never Existed in Context of Indian Military way of Reorganisation of Artillery and Missiles. Every Individual Service have Cruise Missiles to Support it’s own Campaign and Usage of Cruise Missiles as per their Operational Requirements, Army has it’s own Artillery Division and the Ballistic Missiles that have the Strategic Warhead payload Capacity (Nuclear Capabilities) are under the Strategic Forces Command. The only Reason why question was asked because Pakistan is raising a “Rocket Force” hence India must also Raise Rocket force. But the main objective behind raising this Demand for raising of the Rocket Force is to have Industrial Production and capability in place so that D P S Us and Companies that have Invested in Long Range Rocket Artillery get more Orders from the Armed Forces. Since these D P S Us haven’t been able to deliver on Smart and Autonomous Weapon systems and Armed forces are looking to Induct new Autonomous Weapons that are AI Enabled the launching platform could be in Air, Land or Sea that is Critical Requirement of Multi Domain Operations and in future these D P S Us are not likely to get orders from the Armed Forces hence this new topic of Rocket Force is coined. >> Secondly, more recently this Journalist did another show with a Senior Retired General Officer who’s a Gunner and the Retired General Officer questioned the Capability and Utility of Airpower, saying that since Missiles have become pervasive (may be Iran as some Benchmark) hence Airpower is losing it’s Relevance. By this logic Americans must be Dumb that they are Putting heavy investments in 6th Gen NGAD (Next Generation Air Dominance Fighter) Chinese are also Fools who are putting their Investments in 6th Gen Fighter J-36 and Russians who have been Relying on Rocket Force/Missile Force must also be fools who are investing on 6th Gen Mig-41 Fighter jet. What the General said is something that is his own views and has been debated widely but it becomes important that where he said this and to whom he said this.

PS@dostoevesque·
The truth about Ramayana is that it has been adapted into various formats over the years, and the filmmakers are still struggling to come out of its serialized hangover. No matter what they try, their version is like serial with a bigger budget, and I can't even say better visuals. What we need right now is not another retelling of Ramayana, but a reinterpretation through a particular character, their psychological depth, and how they felt about what was happening rather than an omniscient view. A great story can be interpreted in many ways. A Ramayana entirely from Sita's perspective would show her isolation, her agency, her moral clarity against societal expectations. Or from Ravana, not glorified but psychologically unpacked, with ego, obsession, righteousness, and self-delusion. Even Lakshmana, with loyalty turning into quiet resentment or moral conflict. Or the most radical idea, a fragmented narrative where Rama is not the center but a force that each character interprets differently. I am sure there are good enough writers to do that, but the risk is not commercial, it is cultural. To reinterpret Ramayana through a single psychological lens is to invite accusations of heresy from the right wing. The right wing truly has no aesthetic sense, because they lack imagination. They do not understand myth or lore, or even religion, yet they want to chest thump about how they are the protectors of religion. But if you go back to the tradition itself, it was never that rigid. There isn’t just one Ramayana, there are hundreds across regions and languages. The moment a culture decides its stories are too sacred for reinterpretation, those stories stop being living things and become statues. And statues, no matter how golden, cannot teach us anything new. The right wing tends to treat texts like the Ramayana with reverence, as if they need to be preserved. Their instinct is to protect the text and keep its meaning stable. They see the epic as something already complete and morally settled. But when they do this, even an attempt at interpretation starts to feel like distortion or disrespect. So the text becomes frozen. It is safe and elevated, but it loses all its complexity. They risk making it look like a moral class for students at school, removing complexities. The left wing often does the opposite. They treat interpretation as a way to take the text or rip the text apart and discard it as myth, as if something being a myth is wrong in and of itself. They approach the epic with suspicion, questioning power, gender, caste, and ideology inside it. But in that process, showing any reverence starts to seem naive. So instead of engaging with the text as something alive, they risk turning it into a political object to be criticized or thrown away so as to counter the present political atmosphere. Right now this situation feels inescapable because the loudest voices demand only one kind of reading. The irony is that these texts were built to handle many interpretations. They are full of contradictions, silences, and hard questions about duty, violence, gender, and power. If those questions are not being explored, it is not because the material is shallow. It is because we are choosing safer and simpler readings.

Two Indian women over 80 kg visit Sri Lanka, victim card fetish activates, wear bikinis and make a reel saying how they feel free to wear bikinis without being stared at. Firstly, men stare in every country, women are sexualised even more in Sri Lanka and Western countries. And the most important thing, these women call bikinis their favourite attire because whites made it common. Bikinis were literally designed to sexualise women, rich businessmen and politicians made women walk in bikinis to attract men, leading to a boost in local beach tourism, filling more restaurants and hotels. Why are Indians such loyal sepoys of white men?
