@ThaneNeedsMetro The ask is to move it from behind the school and TCS for safety and security. As the demand is before the start of even 1% of the work will not cause any delay or extra cost. Still serves the purpose.

The proposed realignment of Ring Metro in Hiranandani Estate is unnecessary. It will cause massive delays, increase costs, and disrupt the original plan designed for the larger public. Infrastructure should serve the city, not a specific pocket. Dont derail the project! #Thane

@pushankar1 @ThaneNeedsMetro No one is opposing. The demand is only to route it behind school and behind TCS (which was the original plan), so that it is safe for school children and residents.

@ThaneNeedsMetro Anyone opposing metro or mass rapid transport are backward in their thought process. They should not comment and expose themselves. They should join the regressive parties who stopped metro work for 2.5 years and increased the cost by more than 10k crores. Learn from mistakes.

Near the proposed Waterfront metro station: → India's largest TCS campus: 30,000 employees → Centaurus: 1.9M sq ft office space. → Quantum: leased by IDFC First Bank, 18 floors → Solus: 26-floor tower for SMEs Who opposes this station & line? People who'll never use it.

"Line 4 will solve everything." No it won't. Waghbil to Thane Station via Line 4 = auto → metro → auto. 3 legs. 2 transfers. 30–50% of your journey is still in autos/buses. The Ring Metro puts a station within 500–700m walking distance of where you live and work in Thane.

Thane is growing fast. 80+ skyscrapers under construction. Population headed to 39 lakh by 2045. Yet the only way from Hiranandani to Thane station is a 45-min auto through gridlock. We're campaigning to change that. Welcome to #ThaneNeedsRingMetro 🧵

@CMOMaharashtra This is the outcome of poor planning by civic authorities and citizens suffer All commercial hubs must be at one location not near any residential township Today 50k would be coming from far off places after few yrs it will cross 2 lakh

@ThaneNeedsMetro TCS has developed a beautified landscaped area on its premises behind also.We kindly request that TCS consider making this portion of premises available for the Ring Metro route, as it would greatly benefit its employees and the surrounding community.Main road is really small.

@ThaneNeedsMetro Factoring in the 10000 ( the no is key) odd student population at the 3 schools in close vicinity of the tracks brings in risks of safety, crime, noise , educational quality due to logistical stress Can you please talk about this too?

@ThaneNeedsMetro Sr Citizens are a dominant demographic group at Estate ie the compromises in their lifestyle who aspire for a quiet, peaceful lifestyle some perhaps convalescing. Also the major tax payers from Estate were longing for a free and wide Ghodbundar road for more than 20 years.

I am a resident at Hiranandani Estate and I am not opposing the waterfront metro station. Speaking from experience there is a small bunch of self centred WhatsApp activists who oppose every infra developing and around HE. Need of the hour is to ignore petty objections and BUILD FURIOUSLY. Onus lies on Maha Metro.
