🗣️Miroslav Klose: "I said stop playing football because I no longer recognized it. Today, young people think about other things. As a child, I only thought about training and becoming someone in this sport that I always loved. At Lazio and in the national team, after each training session, I put myself in a bathtub full of ice to avoid injuries. But the young people on the team systematically refused.
When they saw me picking up the bags of balls to put them away at the end of training, they said to me 'But who tells you to do that?'. At that moment, I said to myself: "You're 20 years old and you can't help a 60-year-old worker? They care more about whether their cleats go with their socks. That's why I said stop. The football I knew no longer exists.
Today's young people think first of cars, contracts with their sponsors, and their new crampons. It is only after all these things that football comes. For them, their image is the most important thing. Whereas for me, all that mattered was football in its purest form"

🚨 RANT ABOUT #MUFC 🚨
I just scrolled through twitter quietly for a bit, processing what is happening and seeing some emotional (and wild) tweets out here.
If we sack ETH, it's over guys. We've given up as a club. Seriously. I'm not being dramatic. We accept our fate as an average club.
We went through:
-Fergies personal recommendation.
-Internationally Known Dutch Coach.
-One of the greatest and most successful coaches itw.
-A Football Director.
-A Club Legend.
-A strict manager upcoming manager.
These players have to take responsibility for their performance. Dalot, Onana and Rashford all had significant individual errors that should have never happened.
The squad played well, pressured Galatasaray for a while, score then instantly relax and concede. With the sending off, the players gave up.
Bruno and Rashy might be great players, but they can't save a football club in their own. Same with some of the others.
I've said it before, you can spend £1000 on the finest fish you can find, but you drop it in a filthy unkempt tank with already dying fish, that new fish will eventually slow down, and die too.
We get a new manager, we get new players, temporarily get new energy. That will slowly be infected by the energy of our club.
Serial losers, a dying club, with roaches from the top (owners) to the bottom (our fanbase, sorry). It's fully dysfunctional.
The only way back, is a full restart. From the top. We tried replacing players, managers, directors, medics, coaches, painting the stadium, engaging with fans, blablabla.
Until those owners get out. Nothing will ever change.
Call for ETH's head, blame him and say "the owners aren't the ones coaching the players in the pitch". But everything, I mean, everything is rotten in this club, including it's fanbase atm...
Rant over. 🎤 ⬇️

10 years ago today @aaronsw took his own life after overly aggressive prosecution.
He invented internet infrastructure.
He defeated the greatest threat the Internet had ever seen.
And you probably don't know who he is.
You should.
Here’s his story 🧵

The question is whether football in #Sarajevo has ever been worse. FK Sarajevo in sporting crisis and FK Zeljeznicar in financial crisis.
Two clubs with a rich history that are now struggling to keep their heads above water.
Sad for the fans.
