Muslims are not forcing anyone to convert forcefully in this country to the best of my knowledge, nor is it mandatory to bow down before Allah.
Again, bandits chant the "Allahu Akbar" before and after k'lling or attacking their victims, regardless of who and where the incident took place. We have seen Mosques get attacked repeatedly with Muslim faithfuls unfortunately k'lled, even during the month of fasting. We have seen army base attacked especially in the North, where some soliders may also be Muslims. We have seen abducted victims dress and speak in ways that identify them as Muslims, and still ended up being victims, just like Christians, no one has been spared based on religious preference or region. So why are we still making this about religion?
Now let me ask this, the people who claim to be Christians that have k'lled, and the supposed Men of God across all doctrines who have commited all sorts of atrocities while preaching about Jesus, do they represent Christianity? No, we denounce them. So why do we draw the line when it comes to other regions?
We can agree and disagree on a lot of things that needs to change, and must condemn extremism by every means, but let's not worsen the problem.

You don't know that El Rufai is in prison? Malami is in prison. Which of these people (in the APC government) can swear by the Quran or the Bible that they haven't done worse than Malami and El Rufai did?
There are some of those who presided over the amendment of this (Electoral Amendment) bill who are accused of stealing N500bn of Nigerian taxpayers' money, and they are presiding over our destiny... Why are they selective?

Muslims were k'lled by terrorists in Kebbi State's latest attack just recently while observing fast, 34 victims; In another heartbreaking video armed bandits attacked an Army armoured carrier which was escorting motorists on Zamfara road. Two major headlines so far.
Now if these bandits were truly Muslim faithfuls why will they be k'lling their own people, and in such a holy month in Islam? Why aren't the bandits observing the Ramadan themselves?
Addressing this because a lot of people will rather pin this on religion instead of calling these people what they are, terrorists. Everyone is suffering from this insecurity crisis, no religion or region is exempted, no days off.

I have noted with increasing concern the heightened pronouncements on Nigeria by President Donald Trump. This follows his designation of Nigeria as a “country of particular concern.” It is important to emphasise that our country is a sovereign nation whose people face different threats from outlaws across the country. The insecurity we face does not distinguish based on religious, ethnic, or political beliefs. The United States should assist the Nigerian authorities with better cutting-edge technology to tackle these problems, rather than posing a threat that could further polarise our country. The Nigerian government should also consider appointing special envoys from its distinguished diplomats to engage the American government. Additionally, it is necessary to appoint permanent ambassadors to represent Nigeria’s interests on the international stage. To my fellow countrymen, this is an important moment where we should emphasise unity of belonging over division. God bless Nigeria. - RMK

I am not politically aligned with Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso. He is the leader of the NNPP, while I am a committed member of the APC, but political differences, however, should never make us abandon fairness or justice. It is therefore important to state clearly that unfairly linking him to the killings of Christians in this country is wrong and unjust. In recent history, there has been no terrorist incident specifically targeting Christians in his State, Kano.
We may disagree politically, but on matters of truth and justice, we must be consistent. So, on this issue, we stand with Sen. Kwankwaso.

Senator @KwankwasoRM is clearly being targeted here and I hope during the debate, the other congress men and women will debate this with fairness and justice in mind.
At the height of the USG’s interest in Nigeria’s national security issues, Senator Kwankwaso tweeted, “The United States should assist the Nigerian authorities with better cutting-edge technology to tackle these problems, rather than posing a threat that could further polarise our country,” a path the government appears to now be towing with its recent operational support for Nigeria.
Except they’ve got more information than what is out there, which I believe will be up for debate in Congress during the consideration for this proposal, a person cannot be targeted just because they chose to stand up for their country.
American ideals are built on justice and the rule of law and we do hope that these will prevail here. Kwankwaso has never been known to be a religious bigot or a divisive element.
