Today marks 60 days since I lost my dear mum, Maureen Mwanawasa. My mother was an extraordinary woman whose love and strength left a profound impact on everyone she met. Together with my father, Levy Patrick Mwanawasa, they held close to them very strong values and ideals that today continue to shape my character. It’s been incredibly difficult to share anything since my mother’s passing, as I am still coming to terms with this reality. The weight of her absence is heavy, and I struggle to find the words. Nevetheless, I am committed to honoring my mother and father’s legacies, ensuring that the love and lessons they imparted live on. #MaureenMwanawasa #LevyMwanawasa #Mwanawasa #Zambia ♥️

This is quite emotional With all the negativity around the world please allow me to share this heartwarming story coming from our northern neighbour Ethiopia through Ethiopian Airlines @flyethiopian We get only to read about the negative stories about maids working in middle east and Lebanon has suffered the brunt alongside Saudi Arabia but here we have a positive story that spans three decades so it's no fluke. An Ethiopian maid worked in Lebanon for 30 years to pay for her son’s studies to become a pilot. On her last trip, she was surprised that her son was indeed the pilot of the plane. Take a look and may this bring a smile on your face . This story has just fueled my optimism tank to the brim. As always an eternal optimist.

@andre_lesa Ine I get them from China Mall. Last term, I thought I had hidden them, kansi they found them. Awe mwandi, it was a pencil a day. Today, I told them they can't have a new pencil unless they show me the stub of the finished one, but who am I kidding😔

School reopens tomorrow. 19hrs bedtime, with its peaceful evenings, is back💃🏾. So are school run, lunch box, home work, lost socks, pencils that finish in 2 days, endless infections from classmates😔. Oh well.....

What is your view on the new Tourism Loan Product called TANDALA , that was recently launched ? For clarity, tandala is a loan product offered by Public Service Microfinance (PSMF) to civil servants to encourage local tourism. It sounds like a consumption loan 🧐

Amongst many highlights of Mwanawasa’s legacy, in 2004 Mwanawasa applied a series of austerity measures to cut spending and called on the international community to write off #Zambia’s external debt which placed a huge burden on the treasury. Coupled with the commitment to achieve debt cancellation, #Mwanawasa committed to governing a country that promoted good governance, the rule of law and respect for human rights.

Once travelled with a colleague. Next morning, chap is on about - kuno kuntu kusuma. Ukukubikila ubwalwa mu room, ulenwa fye 🙆🏽‍♀️ Long story short, on checkout, man had a painful minibar bill to pay. Thankfully, he shared his joy in time for his pocket to be saved more damage🤣.
