@SilverGalaxia @Finchinator2 Don't compare Triple Axel to Ice Punch, compare it to Focus Blast.
Both have a 70% (72% for Axel) probability to hit with maximum power. But, across the 28% probability of not hitting at maximum power, Axel actually still has a chance to do some damage!

@muchness26 @Finchinator2 the issue I have with it is that missing one hit of axel means the rest of the hits will fail as well. It makes using a Mon like weavile so unreliable

@HoodlumCallum I don't see how "you need to battle to get good mons" is any different than main series games where vitamins/bottle caps also necessitate winning battles with suboptimal teams

what's been presented so far sounds bad but until the game is in my hands i wont fearmonger
on paper vs in practise is very different and if it ends up being bad i feel like they'll just, you know, fix it

Here’s a spicy take:
If someone made a game almost exactly like Breath of the Wild but it wasn’t labeled as a Zelda game, it would have gotten 7-8/10s across the board due to a lack of story, weak dungeons, and weapon degradation.
I wouldn’t have given it that, and I actually LOVE both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, but people let Zelda “get away” with a lot more than other games and it gets to be a bit much to hear at times.
If something is not very good in one game, slapping it into the Zelda world doesn’t magically make the thing good. This goes for any Nintendo property btw.
