@pitdesi Hmm…. With all the grocery shopping, prep, and cleaning it does take 30-40h a month. The cost is understated though — savings are significant. Just thistle, for a few meals a week was like $100/week for me.

I'm planning an Indian tour... I think people severely underestimate India as a business powerhouse. 1) Past = It's only call centers. Now = millions speak fluent English. 2) Past: IT back office for the world. Now = tons of engineers with complex skills. 3. Past: Copycat Indian startups. Now = Billion-dollar native creative startups. Functioning democracy. Rule of law. Intellectual property rights. Entreprenuerial attitude. All ingredients for the next startup innovation hub.

This is actually the situation in Gurgaon in India and people are still buying! I think, in that case — Ability to pay rent is a function of people’s disposable income. Ability to buy is a function of how much they sold their family home in Delhi for 😂

@pitdesi There are airlines that would close the check-in an hour before the flight, especially international airlines that don’t have many flights from that airport. Probably because they have to redeploy the staff from the check-in to boarding.

Never understood this. I aim to get to the airport 45 mins-1 hour before the flight & never have issues. I do have clear, pre-check, status so I can take the shortest line. Sometimes when dealing with a 3rd party for airport drop off I have to lie about what time my flight is.
