🚨New publication!!🚨African American (AA) men have a higher risk of prostate cancer (PrCa) mortality and incidence. @meghatron2016 and colleagues identified AA-specific PrCa risk variants and show that including AA men in genetic risk models is critical for performance.

@JetBlue Neither Safari, default Chrome, or the iPhone app worked for me, but I was able to get through and book a flight using Chrome's Incognito mode—sharing in case helpful for others

Our work with the @CJohnstonLab1 lab out today @Nature demonstrating the intratumoral microbiota impacts spatial, cellular and transcriptional heterogeneity in human cancer. Monster tweetorial below from Chris.

Finally, two papers out within a day of each other from the @BullmanLab and @CJohnstonLab1 relating to the intratumoral microbiota, today in @Nature (doi.org/10.1038/s41586…) and yesterday in @CellReports (doi.org/10.1016/j.celr…). 🧵below to those interested!

Behind the scenes of my latest illustration, on the cover of this issue of @CellCellPress! 🍄✨ Honest disclaimer: my process videos almost never look this clean, this really was one of a kind! #sciart #scicomm #sciviz #sciencetwitter To know more ➡️ twitter.com/munafomarzia/s…

Fantastic Fungi and where to find them 🍄 On the cover of @CellCellPress, @StraussmanR lab reports that fungi are present across all major human cancers and some "mycobiomes" can be predictive of clinical outcomes and therapy response. Congrats @liannarunsky &al @WeizmannScience!

Excited to share our #BioEssays cancer microbiome paper on diagnostics and clonal evolution! Clonal evolution cannot remain a 'sterile' theory any longer, with genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and metabolomic microbial impacts on cancer cell fitness. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/bi…
