@BURLENCo @hjwakerley A friend in Salisbury had one with E200 badges on. The rumble at idle couldn't be disguised. 🤣

This is a local E55. Scratched, a little rust, usually unwashed, street parked and used daily. It is, possibly, the coolest AMG wagon out there.

@Manchester2USA When we bought the new garage door, we went for an up and over. We can't mount a roller door. I do have a scissor lift, but the door put pay to using it. I decided this will be storage and I will build another at the bottom of the garden for a workshop.

@munchcorp Look’s really good, it’s so nice to see a job well done All you need now is a pit/Trench with a hydrolic lift to make working on the cars easier😉

@de_havas Bugger. Ours is sat on its bump stops in disgrace at the moment. It is the first thing I need to do when the garage is tidy.

Sadly my P38 suffered head gasket failure during the week. I knew it was only a matter of time. Had been loosing small amounts of coolant. Hopefully didn’t overheat other than momentarily before I switched off. Fingers crossed just the head gasket & not a slipped liner etc.

@MotoNutJob Those bloody boxes are spreading faster than meningitis. Do people really spend enough time kipping on the roof of their car to justify the extra fuel cost of continuously carrying a massive air brake on it?

With these gas/petrol prices I wonder if there will be a change to the credit card limit whilst filling up as a Range Rover fill up will be $168 or $2.32/£1.72 per liter, so the first time I can remember that petrol in CA is more expensive than the UK 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@PaulCowland_ @NECRestoShow I paid a fortune for the Platinum ticket. That entitled me to be 160 miles away. Money well spent! Have a great show. Hope you get a chance to enjoy it!

@MrJamesMay @DeborahMeaden And a two stroke Saab on the wall. I remember when they had the railway locomotives in the basement. That was a very long time ago.

@martinglester Yes, it was. We were watching it come down on RTT when I worked in Westbourne so popped to Branksome to watch it come through.

@mikesaunders @yepitsconner 😂 I have seen some cars with the original wheels, so they must be later cars. My favourite wheels on these are the double Y (Alu36). I've got two sets and neither is on a car. Really must do something about that.

@munchcorp @yepitsconner LOL, yep..the early castings had the tensile strength of warm bread dough. 😂The later ones from 2001-2002 were actually OK.

@munchcorp @yepitsconner Very true. North American spec cars were a bit different and we didn't get the full B205 engine upgrades until late 1999 for the 2000 model year. (Except for the Viggen, of course...)

@mikesaunders @yepitsconner We were getting the B205 and black DIC in 1998 cars when they did the facelift to the 9-3 in the UK. It could be one that has hung around a bit. Saab were famous for base model cars hanging around for a year or more before registration.

@munchcorp @yepitsconner IIRC, 1999 was the last year of the B204 engine in the base 9-3, so the red DIC would be proper spec. The later B205/235 used the black DIC.

@Rugby_Images @MotoNutJob I should have shown @MotoNutJob my 96 last weekend ,which has fully deteriorated. It's probably going to be electric one day. I will get a fuckmassive speaker in the grille and play two stroke noises through it.
