بمشاركة باحثين من عدة دول وبأكثر من 268 ورقة بحثية، انطلقت أعمال المؤتمر الأول لأبحاث السرطان، بهدف دفع عجلة البحث العلمي والابتكار في مجال علاج السرطان في العالم العربي، من خلال إيجاد منصة لتبادل الخبرات وتفعيل التعاون بين الباحثين العرب والمتخصصين في علاج #السرطان.

Caught a glimpse of the Swahili inscription on Bibi’s (grandma’s) Kanga this Friday morning. “Nainuwa mikono yangu kukuombea dua”, which translates to “I raise my hands in supplication to pray for you”. My world and what sustains it in a picture.

Bibi tells me that this one was designed by a family friend, Aisha Al Abri, and encapsulates the greatest gift an elder in our tradition can give to their loved ones. Prayers whispered in the dark of night that will light their path long after they are gone. #HappyFriday
