Britain is teetering on the edge of an energy disaster. We should be going all in on North Sea oil and building 10–15 nuclear reactors, fast. Look at Germany, the worst energy crisis in Europe, and we’re not far behind. Subsidies won’t fix the problem. Real energy independence will. We have acres of oil and gas fields in the North Sea. We have miles of coal seams in the North of England. We have millions of cubic feet of natural gas in Cumberland. BUT - Because of Mad Ed and our incompetent government, we are not allowed to expand their use. So, while we are sitting on all this wealth, we are paying well over the odds to import these products because of some crazy agenda which says an unobtainable chase towards net zero will solve all our problems.
