Changes happening at BDA (Bengaluru Development Authority) under the directions from the Government of Karnataka to make BDA transparent and accountable. If you have long pending grievance with BDA, and if you are on the right side of the law, you can send photocopy of your petition by WhatsApp to BDA helpline 9483166622. BDA invites you within 30 days for the Open House meeting chaired by the Chairman, BDA @mlanaharis and your grievance will be discussed threadbare and a final decision will be taken, unless legal complications are involved. The entire proceedings are on live on BDA Youtube channel making things transparent. @BDAOfficialGok seems to be taking steps towards transparency and accountability. @CMofKarnataka @DKShivakumar

Hopefarm Junction, Varthur Kodi-Varthur, Hoodi Junction, Kundalahalli Gate, Marathahalli, Graphite India Junction, Shantiniketan area are all major traffic hotspots. The inner roads as well are choked with traffic, which are the lifelines for Whitefield residents - Borewell Road, Swami Vivekananda Road, Channasanda to name a few. We are looking forward to the traffic study as assured, and a re-look at the many traffic arrangements which has had us in deadly gridlocks everyday. Greater Bengaluru Governance Bill #GBGBill. We took our time with this, as we spent quality time to read ALL the pages, review the points put forth deeply, consider impact on Mahadevapura and Bengaluru, and discuss with civic orgs and leaders. Here goes. In a nutshell: WR considers it a step in the right direction, though it stills needs improvement. The Bill provides an opportunity to move toward better governance incrementally, starting with immediate delimitation and the holding of elections.

Am I seeing right, you must be asking yourself. You are. Those are cable wires pulled straight through the BWSSB water pipelines laid for Cauvery Stage 5! Hang on for a watery tale 😭 Over the last 5 years, BWSSB has been laying water pipelines all across the 110 villages. In Oct 2024, BWSSB finally commissioned the start of relaying water! Connections were bridged, and households got ready to see Cauvery water (and not the hard water we are used to) flow from the taps. But no! Water was gushing on to the streets, and flooding the roads! Why? Because in the last ~5 years, cable companies and BESCOM and others have been merrily laying their wires, and what nots via HDD (horizontal directional drilling) without even a pretense of consulting BWSSB about its pipes. Dig first, Fix later is MO. No one is asking for plans. The drill machine goes straight through the water pipes! And this is happening across Whitefield! At this point, we don't even have the energy to shake out head at this appalling apathy of civic administration. BBMP. BWSSB. BESCOM. Cable Companies. May you enjoy the fruits of your labour always.

Property Disputes in WFD. While police cannot do much in civil cases, their laxity towards mob action is only encouraging more assailants to take law into their own hands. I was a victim to one such mob action yesterday. Hoping @dcpwhitefield takes stern action agst the culprits.

Heard of an Accident on Hagadur road & a water tanker involved. A bright school kid is no more. Poor road infra and heavy vehicles plying in interior narrow roads claimed another life. My deepest condolences and request schools to declare a holiday to mourn @WFRising @wftrps

@dcpwhitefield @CPBlr Law and Order seems to have taken a backseat in Whitefield suddenly this month. Is a precedent being set. This month, for the first time in the decade we have been in existence, we have seen two incidents of groups entering private property to claim ownership while Police stood by. While only the court can decide conclusively on the property dispute, we worry about the precedent being set in this manner of claiming ownership by intimidation and harassment. I watched several videos of this incident and was disturbed by the attitude of the police in this matter towards the family. I hope truth prevails, justice is served to the family and if the police has acted in a biased manner, action be taken by @dcpwhitefield @WFRising

If mined in the right manner after enforcing segregation, it will be a profit making business. Livelihoods of ragpicker is collateral damage if this method is adopted though.
