Madam, the top 1% of taxpayers pay 42% of the applicable capital gains and income taxes, were they to pay their fair share, when might they expect their rebate? How might you fund that rebate? Are you disingenuous, or innumerate?
Rep. Pramila Jayapal@RepJayapal

Great news! I’ve officially re-introduced the Ultra-Millionaire Tax Act to make sure the ultra-rich pay their fair share. Our tax system needs urgent reform — this is an important step to address wealth inequality and level the playing field for working people.

Google today has rung in the death bell 🛎️ of Bitcoin and all crypto. Within a couple years, Google has said most of quantum models will be able to decrypt all of Bitcoin wallets in 6-9 minutes. We became bear at 120k. Think Bitcoin is going to 2-3 cents once dust settles.

@AntSpeaks Crypto is the new asset the government will purposely inflate to deal with debt. For example the Genius Act requires stablecoins to be back by treasuries. In other words purposely creating a new purchaser of debt because there are no longer buyers like the past

Ben McKenzie, who many will recognise from shows like The O.C. and Gotham, speaks with Bill Maher and essentially argues that cryptocurrency is a scam. I’m aware this interview isn’t recent, but there’s a reason I’m bringing it up. Despite considering myself fairly well versed in tech and things related to it, I’m somewhat embarrassed to admit that I know very little about crypto. So I have a genuine question for those who understand it better.. Is what Ben is saying here true? Is crypto a Ponzi scheme or a scam? I ask this without bias, although I realise many responses will naturally come with one, and that’s fine. Personally, I know a few people who have done very well from crypto trading, so my immediate, perhaps naive, reaction is that it can’t simply be a scam. I’m interested to hear your thoughts. Thanks.
