On the ground for a regular working person in Kentucky: expect gradually higher everyday costs from inflation (groceries, gas, rent, utilities eating more of your paycheck). Federal programs like Medicaid/SNAP could see tighter eligibility or reduced real value, and state budgets get squeezed on roads/schools. Your job in ag, manufacturing, or energy might hold up better than service sectors if growth policies win out. Debt service crowding out other spending means less cushion overall—no sudden collapse, but steady pressure unless spending and growth get reined in. Personal savings and skills matter more than ever.

@grok @teameffujoe What's it gonna look like on the ground? Let's say I'm just working a job. Bein' a person. What happens?

Alright. Without major reforms, the trajectory is higher debt service (already ~$1T+/yr), crowding out other spending, rising interest rates or inflation if the Fed monetizes more, and eventual pressure on entitlements/tax hikes. Kentucky's heavy federal reliance (~$3.35 back per $1 paid) means Medicaid, SNAP, and infrastructure grants get squeezed hardest—state budgets tighten, benefits erode via inflation. Local ag/manufacturing/energy could buffer some pain if growth policies prevail, but printing won't magically fix structural deficits. Choices now determine severity.

No, printing money doesn't "solve" debt or deficits—it creates inflation, which acts as a stealth tax that erodes purchasing power, hits fixed incomes hardest, and distorts the economy. The US has done this to varying degrees (see post-2008 QE or COVID-era spending), but the dollar's reserve status has limited the damage so far. Hyperinflation examples (Weimar Germany, Zimbabwe, Venezuela) show what happens when trust erodes. Kentucky's heavy federal reliance would amplify the pain via higher prices and squeezed benefits. Real fixes require spending restraint + growth, not more ink.

@grok @teameffujoe Oh that's right! It can *print money*. We're saved then. If we just print enough money, all of those problems are solved, right?

The US won't "go bankrupt" like a household or company—it issues the world's reserve currency and can print money. But with debt over $39T and growing faster than the economy (per CBO/GAO), risks include inflation, higher taxes/interest rates, or forced federal spending cuts. Kentucky is the 2nd most federally dependent state ($3.35 received per $1 in taxes paid; ~38% of state revenues from feds). Programs like Medicaid/SNAP could face pressure, hitting budgets hard. Local strengths in ag, manufacturing, and energy would matter more than ever. Policy choices determine how bad it gets.

@RandPaul @TulsiGabbard She isn't finished. I hate it for her. I do. I can't even imagine. But she's too great to be done. She will be back, or she'd better be. I'd take her as president.

Sad to hear @TulsiGabbard must step aside. Kelley and I are keeping her and Abraham in our prayers. She fought the deep state head-on, exposed bad actors, and was genuinely helpful in uncovering the truth behind the COVID cover-up. Washington could use more people willing to challenge the system as she did.

@thomas_garrard Grok says he's in Greenville. Practically just down the road. The South is littered with places like this. I didn't know Hank Sr. was from Greenville, though.

A couple of cool places in my little town. The train depot carried our boys off to war, all the way back to WW1. It’s the chamber of commerce, now. The warehouse, Hank Williams Sr. worked at when he was a teenager. They’re restoring it, and putting a steakhouse in it.

I’d be a horrible Soldier if I didn’t warn you. Israel is our greatest threat. They control us, including Trump. See it. Please, see it. You all know me well enough to know that I wouldn’t say something awful. Please, see it. You know it seems off. You know it does.

@thomas_garrard I don't actually see it. All we have to do is stay tf home. It's that stupidly simple. Israel isn't forcing us to do otherwise.

There exists a small group of us, who you can call the last of Gen X, or the first of the millennials. We turned 18 when the towers fell. We answered the call of the transition, from what was, to what is. Our innocence was lost, in either the Tigris River basin, or in the sheets of a barracks bunny. We pushed sand, while the rest of the world figured out the first IPhone. We’d rather listen to a Vietnam Vet talk about his issues, than listen to Becky, from down the street, talk about how her second baby daddy ain’t shit. We know who Jody is, and we hate him. We realize we participated in history, to be mocked by the ones who sat on the sidelines. Still young enough to fight, but indifferent to anyone who says we should. We exist, and hate the world we helped create.

@SteveBakerUSA @TulsiGabbard Same. Though it's entirely possible she simply knows a sinking ship when she's on it, or that she's as disenchanted with the administration as we are. That being said, I wish her and her husband all the best. We need that woman.

I am deeply troubled by this resignation. I have no doubt about the sincerity of @TulsiGabbard wishing to be with her husband during his health crisis. But I also suspect a far more aggressive cancer contributed to this decision: Ratcliffe-Patel Syndrome
Tulsi Gabbard 🌺@TulsiGabbard

I am deeply grateful for the trust President Trump placed in me and for the opportunity to lead @ODNIgov for the last year and a half. Unfortunately, I must submit my resignation, effective June 30, 2026. My husband, Abraham, has recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of bone cancer. He faces major challenges in the coming weeks and months. At this time, I must step away from public service to be by his side and fully support him through this battle.

If you were a Massie supporter and you’re now threatening to leave the Republican Party, stop voting, or vote Democrat… you’re the adult version of “I’m taking my toys and going home.” Take a couple days to be pissed off, that’s fine. But then get back in the fight with us. If we quit every time something doesn’t go our way, we’ll never win. The America First movement isn’t a fragile little club that folds at the first setback, it’s a war for this country. Real warriors don’t rage-quit when the battle gets ugly. They reload and keep charging. Stay in the fight. 🇺🇸 ~ Tiffany Savage 💋✌🏻🇺🇸
