1988: The building of Darling Harbour, a short video on the many attractions we remember in the precinct in the 1990s, including the Monorail. In 1985 NSW Premier Neville Wran designated Darling Harbour as a place to be transformed "for the people." I made this video in 2023 as part of my tiktok project 'Restore Australia' which has 130,000 followers and over 2000 videos of Australia in the 20th Century as most of us remember it.

@GreenTyler27 Write off another 20% off HECS and they will have a good chance to be back in. Also the first waves of migrants post covid become eligible to vote from now. The more they wait the more voters they probably get.

In normal circumstances, the Labor party would delay the coming federal election as long as possible and hope and pray that conditions improve. But they now have a major problem: the economy is deteriorating even faster than their polling. We’ve got high energy prices, housing stress, weak productivity, soft economic growth and high bond yields. That leaves Labor trapped between a rock and a hard place. Call the election earlier and face a rapidly rising One Nation movement with growing momentum or wait too long and the economic situation may worsen even further; making it easier for outsider candidates like myself to prosecute the case against the establishment. That’s the danger for Labor: time is no longer on their side.

A fierce wave of backlash is surging after broadcaster Natalie Barr stated that children should not be exposed to cartoons with LGBTQ themes. She affirmed that raising children should focus on “traditional values” and that adults should only allow kids to experience their childhood in a pure and innocent way. This statement immediately sparked strong opposition and calls for her dismissal, but there are still some people who support Natalie. However, Natalie Barr showed no concession or fear in the face of opposing opinions or demands to sack her

Australia has an ethnic identity. We are an ANGLO CELTIC / SAXON race of people. You can be of ASIAN OR INDIAN ORIGIN and be a citizen. But you are NOT an ETHNIC AUSSIE. FACT. I will NOT debate the future of my country with anyone who is not an Australian Citizen. WE NEED TO DEPORT 2.9 million temp visas and shut the GATES ASAP. Voting rights should only ever be extended to people born here ✅ #auspol #australia #australiafirst #deport #remigrate @AusLobby

This is Hurstville, Sydney. Foreigners are selling vegetables on our footpaths. Mass immigration is turning our suburbs into slums. Apart from it being illegal, this raises serious food safety and hygiene concerns with fresh produce laid out on the dirty ground next to a bin.

The number of days a person works from home (if any) should be a decision between the employer and the employee — it will vary dramatically depending on the actual job. This is not something any government should be legislating. But clueless Premier Jacinta Allan has decided to ram it through anyway. This is pure moronic, destructive socialism from a Premier completely out of her depth. Allan’s interference creates a massive new disincentive for businesses to employ anyone in Victoria, drives even more jobs offshore, and supercharges the exodus of companies fleeing her failing state. It makes Victoria a toxic, high-risk place to invest in or start a business, murders productivity, and will only further impoverish the state. It’s anti-freedom, anti-business, anti-worker, and harms the very people this idiot policy claims to “help”. Jacinta Allan is quickening the demise of what was once a great state — and she’s too blind or arrogant to even notice the damage she’s causing.

They trashed their own country & are now colonising the West & many are treating the West as they did their homeland. Locally, we have caught so many Indian rubbish dumpers & there is so much footage of these people just dumping their trash into our waterways & local lake. Majority of our immigration across the West is now coming from India & they are bringing with them their disregard for nature & they show no respect for our land or people. Unacceptable 😡

@RestoreAussies Tall poppy syndrome is engrained into the leftist thinking and has its roots in socialism and communism. Its unfortunate too many left voters fall for it. The loudest voices on Bluesky after the budget were complains on lack of increase in handouts and welfare including NDIS.

Young people have been told that the only way to achieve 'fairness' in tax is to raise taxes on other people. Instead of LOWERING taxes on the middle and working classes so they receive the same benefits as things like family trusts. Government uses you as a slave and now they've taught you to stop fighting for fairness.

Muslim woman travels to South Korea and is outraged that Korean food has too much pork: “Koreans put pork in everything: mayo, ketchup, chips. I had to inspect everything before eating. South Korea claims to be an ultra-modern country, but refuses to respect 2 billion Muslims!” There’s an easy solution to her problem: don’t go there!

If you are earning less than $45,000 your marginal tax rate is zero for $0 – $18,200 and 16% for $18,201 – $45,000. However if you’ve bought a few shares, or maybe invested in a few antiques - that have had a capital gain, sneaky Albanese now wants to tax that not at your marginal rate, but at 30%. Its a direct attack on low income earners and pensioner.
PoliticalPilot@PilotPoli

The 30% minimum tax on capital gains is the worst tax policy change in Australian political history. It's effectively saying to the average punter, don't save, don't invest, and don't try to make your money work for you. I've been a Labor member and voter since my first election, that ended tonight.

Economic vandalism disguised as “fairness” by the Government as next weeks budget leaks about the CGT changes become clear. Treasury wants to axe the 50% Capital Gains Tax discount for every asset class shares, businesses, startups, farms, crypto and replace it with old-school inflation indexation. The result? A punitive raid that doubles the tax on long-term success. Take this stark example: $10,000 invested today, compounding at a realistic 15% p.a. for 50 years = $10.84 million (the kind of outcome ambitious young Australians dream of). Under the current 50% discount: Government takes roughly $2.54 million in tax. Under their new inflation-indexed regime: Over $5.07 million, DOUBLE THE TAX. This isn’t reform. It’s a direct assault on aspiration, risk-taking, and wealth creation. Younger Australians locked out of property and relying on equities and entrepreneurship get hammered hardest, while the government lectures about “intergenerational equity”. The hypocrisy is breathtaking. Boomers and Gen X built wealth under the 50% discount for decades. Now the Government is pulling up the ladder and calling it progress. This is intergenerational betrayal, not equity. Australia doesn’t need more tax grabs. We need productivity, innovation, and incentives for private investment. This policy will drive capital into the family home, term deposits, or offshore, anywhere except productive Australian businesses. Short-term political cynicism with devastating long-term damage. A betrayal of the next generation’s chance to get ahead. Business leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs can’t let this happen. What’s your view on how we push back? #CapitalGainsTax #Budget2026 #EconomicVandalism #AspirationalAustralia #TaxGrab
