@MikeyLikey84 @tierani_kristen This is EXACTLY how it works.
And Lord help you if the Billing Dept mis-codes a regular/annual procedure.
It takes MONTHS for stuff to get fixed.
It’s 2026. We have AI. It shouldn’t be THIS hard.
English

@tierani_kristen Yes it is intentional. Also hospitals are just as culpable as they will often wait until the period to bill insurance has passed so that then the patient gets stuck with the whole bill and then has to fight to get it resolved.
English

@jennwilliams23 What in the AI is happening here, Jenn?
You need to stop worrying about how us Texans drive and get to a dermatologist, stat!

English

@ThrillaRilla369 Yes. I high school (I was an idiot).
I had an ‘85 Mustang GT.
English

@HitemWreckem @SECcousinShane They certainly scored more than you guys did the last time we played. So, sure take the “win”…
English

@SECcousinShane 5-1
Did you see what UTEP did to Texas in Austin??
English

@burlyboomer1 @SECcousinShane Dang, Burly. It’s only 3:03p CST (and OU still sucks), am you’re already drunk.
English

@Mateer4Heisman_ @Antdog8923 @SECcousinShane Or about as many Touchdowns as your team has scored in the past three years; yeah?
English

@Antdog8923 @SECcousinShane How is “winning chips” boring. Texas has like three in a hundred years
English

@ThrillaRilla369 Peeling the bandages off one’s head after having a 3”x3.5” piece of your scalp removed due to the dermatologist finding melanoma.
I’d rather go through another vasectomy (sans a local!) than to do that again!
Wear your hats and sunscreen, kids.

They were the embodiment of neighborhood shopping. Before the advent of big-box discount stores, Americans shopped at 5ive-and-dime stores: S.H. Kress, Woolworth, W.T. Grant, TG&Y ... and Mott's. Traces of Texas reader Laurie Middleton Sanders graciously sent in this nifty 1970s photo of Mott’s 5 & 10 in Kennedale, Texas.
Says Laurie: "This was a favorite stop for all ages in Kennedale back in the day. Kids were dropped off here as parents went to get groceries next door at Winn Dixie. They were allowed to "look" at all the toys and if they were really good, were awarded a piece of penny candy or gum ball by the store Manager, Darlene Reese. Ladies loved to shop for the latest styles in McCall's, Simplicity or Butterick Patterns. They could also find the most fashionable fabric, lace, zippers, thread to sew clothes for the family. There was a full line of yarn, Infant products and clothes, glassware, hardware, hair products and about anything else you might need. Manager Darlene also always had prepackaged school supplies that included EVERYTHING on your students list!! These are just a few favorite memories of going into Mott's 5 & 10 store.
Mott’s Ladies in photo are:
Front row: Mary Schultz, Pearl Warner
Back row: Laurie Middleton Sanders, Darlene Reese
Customers: Melba & Kristi Patterson"
How's that for a caption? I remember speaking to an older reader about a Mott's that was in Fort Worth and he said that, as a kid, there was only one aisle that he and the rest of his friends paid any attention to: the toy aisle. This gentleman said the thing he remembered most was the smell, "that great five-and-dime store smell" is what he said. Mott's was in business for 58 years. They finally closed all their locations in 1998.
Thank you, Laurie. A walk down memory lane, for sure!

@rocknrollofall Nov’89, Rolling Stones during the Steel Wheels tour at the Cotton Bowl, in Dallas.
Mick Jagger can’t stay on beat or carry a tune outside the studio.
The rest of the boys and the backup singers were on point.
Hey, at least I can say that I saw “The Stones”…😅

@richie_bambara @CoachMackBrown No. It wasn’t. It just happened.
That’s football.
English

@TylerJHorn_ @CoachMackBrown Sure as hell did.
More pointedly, Marcel’s hit was the play that altered the CFB landscape.
I was there. On the 35yd line. I was just “chasing the dragon”, trying to once again experience that feeling I felt on 1/4/06. Same stadium, much different result. 🤘🏻
