IHK provides meals to its admitted patients, which are then billed to the patient. After assessing this arrangement, URA said the hospital has to pay Shs 356m as VAT on these meals. IHK protested & went to the Tax Appeals Tribunal. URA lost. @BbegMedia

@DaudiKabanda @mkainerugaba You won’t beat the allegations if you do not touch Katushabe Winstone, the commissioner of works and Transport, Kateshumbwa Dicksons formerly of URA and Silver Mugisha of National Water! You can have Dedan Mubangizi as bonus if you so wish!
What do you need? Evidence?

There is a sponsored narrative calling Operation Ufisadi a political witch hunt. It’s a lie being pushed by the corrupt and their agents. General @mkainerugaba is fighting corruption across tribe, religion and party lines. No thief will get Political cover.

@amronaldo Because the ministry of health is a corruption scene.

EBOLA OUTBREAK IN EASTERN DRC
Uganda’s National EMS Policy and Standards (2021) classify ambulances and emergency supplies into three tiers:
Type A (Patient Transport): Basic consumables like stretchers, first aid kits, oxygen.
Type B (Basic Life Support): Adds monitoring devices, suction machines, IV fluids, defibrillators.
Type C (Advanced Life Support/Mobile ICU): Full resuscitation kits, ventilators, advanced drugs, and monitoring systems.
But according to the Auditor General's Report for FY 2024/25, the nearest Regional Referral Hospitals are in a dire status to handle emergencies;

The U.S. is rapidly scaling support for the Ebola response in the DRC and Uganda by funding up to 50 treatment clinics and frontline response costs in affected regions.
These rapidly deployed clinics will enable implementing partners to establish clinical care and containment perimeters around affected areas.

Rumors inside the corridors of Statehouse indicate that former presidential candidate and economist Hon Nathan Nandala Mafabi is being vetted for a ministerial job and may replace Minister Matia Kasaija.
Sources say Hon Mafabi appointment is part of Gen Museveni and his young brother Gen Salim Saleh cleaning the Ministry of Finance by dismantling the strong system built by technocrats in the ministry to outsmart other government agencies and steal from the treasury.
The system being flushed out is the one in which people like Anitah Among and others used to steal billions of shillings from the treasury.
Also shortlisted is Muvawala a busoga official who according to intelligence sources, was recommended by Gen Saleh to be the political heads at the Ministry of Finance since he is the immediate supervisor of the said ministry.
Sources say Gen Saleh was very pleased with Mafabi's economic ideas while campaigning in last elections, which they now say can help the country.

I am a Civil Servant with 26 years of service. Using the existing legal framework under the Whistleblowers Protection Act, 2010, I reported corruption within my Ministry to the Inspector General of Government on 22nd November 2022 and later to the Criminal Investigations Directorate in May 2023.
Following these disclosures, one of the Ministers in the Ministry of Works and Transport openly stated that I would be “benched” for reporting my superiors to the IGG. Despite my persistence, including repeated follow‑ups with both CID and the Directorate of Public Prosecutions, no meaningful action has been taken.
If Civil Servants who dare to whistle blow are punished and sidelined for years, what incentive remains for others to act in defense of integrity? I am 70% certain that my interdiction was orchestrated under ministerial instruction, possibly reinforced by external officials misled into believing I am merely a rebellious officer. Instead I was interdicted. Which in itself is illegal.
This narrative is false. For 20 years of service, no one ever accused me of insubordination, incompetence, or rebellion. On the contrary, I consistently ranked among the highest‑performing Civil Servants, until the moment I began questioning the misuse of money and the abuse of power.
So PO 002 one of the best ways you can kick off this term by showing commitment, arrest the person I reported. Prosecute him. I will bring you 50 Witnesses. Senior High Level Staff in the Ministry. Otherwise this will just be another term of lip service

To multiply a country’s economy tenfold, you need at least energy and infrastructure. In each of those critical areas, the performance of the Ugandan state is characterized by gross incompetence. I do not see how we can achieve that - @AndrewMwenda #UBCBehindtheHeadlines
