Universal has stepped in after a high-quality upload of Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey leaked on X/Twitter. bit.ly/4w1zZTa

@CyberVapor1978 @IGN I’d love to understand the logic behind your thinking this.
English

@IGN Yea, it was Christopher Nolan that "leaked" it... bc it sure the fuck wasnt being seen by the bots that bought the tickets online.
English

@AndrewYang HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Imagine Kamala Harris trying to run against a Marco Rubio + JD Vance ticket.
They would literally win all 50 states, wouldn't even be close.
PLEEEEEASE run again @KamalaHarris!!!!

Someone with courage and credibility in the Democratic Party needs to stand up and forcefully say that “Gaza” - a complex and painful problem - is NOT the defining issue for the next or any election. People will have differing views but the future of Netanyahu and the West Bank is in the hands of Israeli’s. Not Americans (regardless of our military support). Not understanding that in the U.S. means you’ve lost the plot for our party.
English

@AndrewDocklands @elonmusk Nobody said that in this post dude… you are just making up arguments in your head
English

@SonOfVaivasvata Because that would have been a much shorter and uninteresting story
English

Even Emily Wilson is now attacking The Odyssey for misrepresenting Ancient Greek beliefs. Odysseus would not have suffered from “guilt” or “trauma.” These feelings were quite alien to the Mycenaeans. Glory in battle was their ultimate goal. When Achilles is told he can live a long, obscure life or a short but glorious one, he doesn’t hesitate.

PEOPLE ARE WATCHING THE ODYSSEY IN CHAIRS THAT SHAKE AND SPRAY WATER
A viral video from a 4DX screening of The Odyssey shows seats shaking so hard during a storm scene that the caption warned people to avoid it.
People are now booking tickets because of that warning.
- 4DX seats tilt, shake, and vibrate in sync with the movie
- Wind, water, and fog blast the audience during the biggest scenes
- Only 41 theaters worldwide show the film exactly as Nolan shot it
- Over 700 4DX theaters exist worldwide, doing the complete opposite
Nolan spent three years fighting to protect a single frame of film. Somewhere, a theater chain is spraying water on it instead.

@FearedBuck So it’s going to be super long and homoerotic? And he’s going to do it for less than half of Nolan’s budget?
English

@prioritypasscom so now every time I open the app it asks me to log in again and then won’t send an otp to my email. I already have my card in wallet. I just wanted to see the lounges available at the airport. Your service seems to only get worse and worse as the years go by
English

@martianwyrdlord They really should make one with the exact dialog from the original poem. I’d love to see people trying to make sense of that
English

@bryan_johnson Have you considered just accepting that you are not immortal and maybe stop acting like a giant weirdo?
English

I just cloned myself...as a newborn
With this clone, I can:
+ become my own blood boy
+ test therapies on the clone
+ grow organs for transplantation
+ develop new treatments
+ inject young cells
This baby-bryan lives in a petri dish for now.
This may be scary to some people…a dystopian future. But, for others, they will see it as the inevitable future of health.
Clinical trials are already using this technology to restore dopamine neurons for Parkinson's, heart health and eyesight.
The process
> blood draw
> my cells were extracted
> yamanaka factors applied
> reset epigenetic age
> restoring them to an embryonic-like state
Why?
> these cells are now pluripotent
> can be differentiated into hundreds of cell types
> i.e. neurons, cardiomyocytes, retinal cells, etc
> allowing me to rebuild my body
> organ by organ
> repairing lost eyesight or hearing
> restoring kidney, liver or lung function
> repairing skin damage
> there’s no real limitation in imagining
> my body will accept them bc they’re my cells
> foreign cells are at risk of being rejected
As cells age, they accumulate epigenetic errors compounding into dysfunction and disease.
This technology gives us a path to reverse aging.
I mentioned getting diagnosed with an incurable disease is one of the best things that has happened to me in a long time. It’s opened up a frontier of new paths to repair and strengthen the body. This is the first example.

@LauraLoomer You should feel like an asshole for so many more reasons than this
English

Just experienced my first air raid in Ukraine.
Sirens blaring.
This is everyday for every Ukrainian.
I feel like such an asshole for minimizing the struggle of Ukrainians for the last 5 years. I often said I don’t care. Looking back, that wasn’t very nice of me to say.
There are people in Ukraine who have to run to a bomb shelter everyday and some of us had the audacity to say Russia wasn’t wrong because we believed the lie that Ukraine is a country full of Nazi sympathizers.
We have been so propagandized by Russia and we don’t even realize it.
Air sirens could very well be the future of America if we don’t start demanding our lawmakers crack down on communism and multipolarity.
We won’t have Trump forever and the axis of evil is moving fast.
English

@MattWalshBlog I wish I could say I was surprised... But I'm really not. The fact that Achilles was being played by a 5 ft tall 100 lb trans. Not to mention "white armed" Helen...
It'd be nice if Hollywood would just make a damn movie and stop with the ideology bullshit!

Just saw The Odyssey. Despite what you may have heard, literally all of the criticisms by conservatives were entirely correct. The movie is just as woke as you fear, if not more so. The DEI casting is atrocious. Completely takes you out of the story right from the beginning. But even worse than that is Nolan’s decision to turn Odysseus into an anachronistic whiney, solemn shell of a man plagued by “trauma” and guilt. It’s impossible to overlook these flaws because the film itself is not terribly entertaining or well constructed. For the most part it is disjointed, dull, self-serious, disenchanted, somehow feeling both verbose and overly rushed at the same time. The dialogue is some of the worst I’ve ever heard in a “critically acclaimed” film. “On the nose” and “clunky” are descriptions that can’t even begin to describe this script. At no point in the story does Nolan ever transport the audience to the ancient world. You never feel like you’re 3,000 years in the past. You feel like you’re watching modern Americans put on a pageant, because you are. Nobody would be calling this thing a masterpiece if it was made by a director not named Christopher Nolan.
English

@emeriticus Yeah why dose t rotten tomatoes show the true score which includes thousands of bad reviews made before the film was even released?
English

@MarkSch54277770 @RubinReportShow The world was a different place when Batman came out. People don’t go to the movies like they used to. Back then you had to wait like a year for a film to come out on ppv or dvd but now it’s like a month later. I know I’ve certainly been going to the movies much less
English

@RubinReportShow I won’t see the movie because my wife won’t go to R movies (violence, language, or both). Miscasting of characters is irrelevant in deciding. What I find disingenuous is comparing it to Nolan’s success with the Batman movies. Inflation adjusted this is half the box office.
English

@mwilliamw87 @upliftandlift Helen of Troy was not Black. Eliot Page, a trans, as a Greek warrior is a joke. The Odyssey is a story about Greek culture and history. This take on it is an abomination.
English

@rabbitlover1010 @CattardSlim He got caught getting a bj in the Oval Office. Let’s not act like every other president didn’t do the same shit
English

@CattardSlim He got a blowjob in the Oval Office but the mother fucker balanced the budget n loved everyone
English

@CattardSlim That’s what I would do. He was already president. Nothing more to prove. I’d just get high and chill all day
