#Vibelog — Eliott & Lily, Space Adventure, an AI game made with my kids #1 Ok, this account hasn’t been useful for a while so I’ll try something new: Following the vibe coding trend and seeing how efficient AI tools became, i'm starting a fun side project with my 2 kids, Eliott & Lily, who are 6 & 3. I’ll go through everything, feel free to follow along and asks questions if you have some 👇 Goal • Have fun with the kids by co-creating the game • Create a top down shooter fun game that looks as polished as possible • Combine AI tools with traditional techniques • Learn tons of stuff • Share the journey Background I'm a digital creative director based in France, with 13 years of experience creating digital content. However I have close to no knowledge in coding, even though I understand how things work at a surface level. Workflow Here is what i'm planning to use, this could change as we go. Game Design — Combination of existing things with ideas we'll come up with the kids. No AI. Game Dev — HMTL5 + Canva in @cursor_ai , using @AnthropicAI Claude Sonnet 3.5 & 3.7 and @xai 's @grok Visual Asset creation — My oldest's kid drawings for as much assets as possible, pictures of them for character assets, an iPhone, Photoshop for the traditional part. @Magnific_AI for style transfer, structure reference and upscaling (hopefully I’ll make @javilopen proud) , @Scenario_gg for asset generation, pixel art (maybe). Music & Sound design — I really want to record every bit of the sound design with the kids, music will be generated with @SunoMusic Social Media assets — I want to be able to share my journey efficiently to focus on the game creation, so I’ll be using @screenstudio & @capcutapp which are great for speeding things up Inspiration Been in awe looking at the AI-made prototypes from @DannyLimanseta, the best I’ve seen so far and of course @levelsio with his plane game

Starting a fresh @threejs project to try to get something cool running for @levelsio 's #vibejam Going for a 2.5D farming game combined with a fast paced top down shooter: During the day, plant seeds, chill out in the farm, fertilize soil, get upgrades and unleash everything at night against angry aliens. We'll see where this leads 🙃

Day 3 of working on @levelsio 's #vibejam Worked on spawning ennemies, health bar, various kind of shooting mechanismes (knockback, piercing, critical hit) and skills (the shockwave for now) Ennemies will spawn by waves at night and the player will be assisted by the crops he farmed by day to eliminate them.

Day 2 of working on @levelsio 's #VIBEJAM Worked a lot on game design and also implementing 3D models, animations and a nice look & feel! I want the players and ennemy actions to affect the terrain to, kinda like the shockwave.
