More stories from "Sari & Ploy". It's definitely the year of storytelling, no matter how short it is. // Seedance 2.0 Omni-Video via @yapper_so

Sari & Ploy "Night Market Justice" // Kling 3.0 Omni @Kling_ai

Kebaya Kill-N-Beat$ → text2img: Google Imagen 4 → img2vid: @Kling_ai 2.1 // @higgsfield_ai → music: Suno v4.5 → editing: CapCut Probably one of my proudest works. The main influence behind this video is one of my favorite Japanese manga, Sakamoto Days. I’ve always loved its concept on how it blends slice-of-life moments with the world of hitmen. The tone is light, humorous, sarcastic and occasionally serious, and I tried to bring that same energy into my own world, localizing the vibe with elements rooted in my culture.

Sari & Ploy. Best friends and rivals 😎 What makes them similar? They never met their fathers. They were trained in martial arts at a very young age by their grandfathers. Sari is rooted in Jaipong and Pencak Silat, while Ploy specializes in Muay Thai. Made with Kling 3.0 Omni @Kling_ai

And here's the Grok Imagine version. Same method as before: I upload my character sheet as the base image that I made with Nano Banana Pro to create this fake omni-reference 😁 It works really well for me, since I just want to casually animate my AI character consistently with Grok. I really love this approach because I can simply load my character reference and focus 100% on writing the scene I want to show.

Let’s assemble the cast first, then think about how to do it later LOL 😆😁If you’ve been following me for quite some time, some of these faces might be familiar. Made with Nano Banana Pro + Kling 3.0 Omni via @freepik

Everyone wants to redefine Hollywood with AI. Meanwhile, I just wanna make cute and silly Southeast Asian high school dramas with AI, LOL 😂😂 Made with Nano Banana Pro + Kling 3.0 Omni via @freepik

Another experiment with Kling 3.0 Omni @Kling_ai in creating a simple, everyday kind of scene. As a copywriter, back then when I pitched a story to a client it was either presenting your script verbally to them or creating a Google Slides presentation of your storyboard using images from Shutterstock or even clips from a movie. Understanding the story is actually simple, but getting your client to imagine the exact vibe you are aiming for is difficult. Some of the reference materials you show them might be a bit irrelevant, and creating the exact visual mock-up can take a lot of time. This is where GenAI video really comes in handy. I can visualize my script, edit it, and then show it to them now in motion. Especially now that most AI video models have better training data, particularly for the Southeast Asia region, exploring that specific vibe is much easier. Yes, it is AI. It may look slop, and I agree. But it helps a lot when it comes to visualizing your idea for your client. By showing this, you bring everyone to the same point of view so that no one in the room has a completely different imagination. What actually happens is fun. When I present a concept to my client, we end up having fun together. It triggers conversations like, “Hey, I think I know a better location where we can shoot this scene,” or, “Let’s make the set more chaotic, with more street vendors and a bigger crowd.” And when it comes to briefing an actual film director to direct the commercial, it becomes even more collaborative. We might already have ideas about how we want to shoot it, but then the film director provides more suggestions based on their expertise, like, “This works, but I think we can also try it this way.” And it is so much easier now. AI is really a great tool. I think it is up to you how you want to use it and how you want to perceive it. In reality, I still hire real talent like film directors and photographers. Nothing really changes, especially in Southeast Asia, where the ad scene is very active and dynamic. We just need to be more open-minded about what technology brings to us.
