@YusufAsunmogejo You’re comparing a 1,400 year old text to modern books. The 'author’s apology' didn't exist back then. Ancient scriptures and royal decrees always spoke with total finality. It isn’t a unique power move. It was just the standard style of the time bro

Something still marvels me about the Quran to this day. I wonder how a book could be so audacious. Imagine opening a book, and the first line you hit is: ذلك الكتاب لا ريب فيه "This is the Book about which there is no doubt." We all know that when a human writes, we almost always start with an apology in the preface. We say we tried our best, but any mistakes are ours. The Quran does the exact opposite of that. It did not offer a disclaimer. It offered a finality. It says: there is no mistake, nor doubt about my authenticity. Anything you read and find in me, rest assured, it is nothing but the truth. The shutdown of the possibility of error before a single story is even told is the ultimate audacious power move. For the past 1440+ years since the Quran was sent down, NO ONE has been able to find a mistake. They’ve only been running in circles. This is what gives me audacity. It gives me confidence in my ability to recite the Quran without fear anywhere. May the Almighty make you and me from the people of the Quran 🙏👏🏿

I dislike what polygyny does to women, how it affects children, and how it destabilizes marriages. And there is nothing wrong with saying that. If we’re talking about it from the Qur’anic context of permission tied strictly to justice and responsibility, then it carries a very different meaning. But in the way it is often practiced today by many men, where justice is ignored and desire is the driving force… I dislike it.

Dear Muslims, It is not permissible for a muslim to openly or privately declare hatred for polygyny, because polygyny is something Allah has made lawful in Islam. While it is understandable that many first wives may struggle emotionally with their husbands taking another wife, a muslim must be careful not to condemn what Allah has permitted. At the same time, Islam recognises human emotions and personal limits. Can a muslim man choose not to practice polygyny? Yes. Can a muslim woman prefer monogamy and not want her husband to take another wife? Yes. Can a muslim woman refuse to marry a man who openly intends to practice polygyny? Yes. Can a wife seek divorce if polygyny is severely affecting her emotionally or mentally? According to some scholars, yes. Even the wives of the Prophet ﷺ who are the best of women experienced jealousy among themselves, to the extent that Allah revealed verses addressing some of those situations. So feeling hurt, jealous, or emotionally overwhelmed is part of human nature and should not automatically be condemned. However, there is a difference between struggling with something emotionally and declaring hatred for what Allah has made halal. As muslims, we should not: • Hate polygyny, it is a ruling from Allah. • Hate fellow muslims simply because they practice polygyny. • Speak badly about muslims solely because they choose what Islam has made permissible. No muslim, dead or alive, has the authority to declare forbidden or hateful what Allah has made lawful and permissible. We should be careful as muslims, not to fall in error of hating what Allah made lawful, just because our emotions are up. Lastly, this post is directed to muslims alone.

@Female_King1 @Adamthallith Abu Jahl was one of the Prophet's enemy (I think the worst enemy sef). Abu Jahl's daughter however, later accepted Islam. Fatima refused to be a co-wife to her father's worst enemy, hence, her disagreement with Ali. She accepts to be a co-wife to any other woman. Check Islamqa

@YhungProf0 I could have funded your education free if I knew you. You have a very insensitive government that spends money rehabilitating terrorists while its best brains access loans to go to school. You goofed big time and I believe it is politically motivated. I hope they repay loan.

Amid the flood of felicitations following my convocation as Overall Best Graduating Student of LAUTECH, I find it necessary to address the stir around my NELFUND appreciation post. I accept the praise, life changing offers and the backlash, in good faith. Still, it is only fair to set the record straight. I hail from a village in Osun State, raised in a modest family of five. I attended public primary and secondary schools, not by choice, but because even the most inexpensive private schools were beyond our means. Even then, survival itself; food and clothing was a daily struggle. I walked miles to school each morning, while my parents laboured as jacks-of-all-trades to make ends meet. For nine defining years before I entered university, we lived within sight of basic amenities yet beyond our reach, no electricity, no television; just lanterns and candles. Against these odds, I earned a scholarship and now this distinction. In my third year, a coursemate’s father, someone I had once tutored academically, gifted me my first smartphone which I am still using till now. On several occasions, lecturers, moved by quiet compassion, provided me with clothing. There are many other instances, too numerous to recount. So, I say this plainly, not all of us are born with a silver spoon. Some of us climbed the ladder by holding on to every rung of legitimate support we could find. As an engineering student aspiring to make academic history, should I resort myself to blaming my family’s financial situation for my inability to afford fees and essentials like a reliable smartphone or laptop needed for skills and certifications? For me personally, NELFUND was not incidental; it was instrumental and to acknowledge what helped one’s journey is neither propaganda nor misplaced allegiance. It is simply an act of appreciation. Thank you @NELFUND and everyone that contributed to this success! Greatness awaits all of Us.

RE: Hijab Discrimination at Esther Oshikoya CBT Centre The attention of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has been drawn to an incident at the Esther Oshikoya CBT Centre in Ibadan. Through its monitoring mechanisms, the Board observed the occurrence during the screening exercise for the first session of the examination day on Thursday, 16th. The Board promptly intervened by calling the ad hoc official involved to order and issuing immediate instructions that no candidate wearing a hijab should be asked to remove or alter it. The Board wishes to state clearly that this act was neither perpetrated by the centre nor part of its official protocol. Rather, it was the action of an overzealous ad hoc staff member who failed to adhere to the Board’s established guidelines regarding candidates’ religious attire. JAMB categorically affirms that such actions are not in line with its screening procedures. The Board respects the religious beliefs and customs of all Nigerians and has addressed the situation promptly and appropriately. We assure all candidates, regardless of faith, that their rights to religious expression including dressing remain a cornerstone of our policy. For the avoidance of doubt, all ad hoc staff have been further briefed and reminded of the approved procedures for screening candidates at all centres Fabian Benjamin, Ph.D OrgExpert and PCA JAMB

@raythewarchief 😂 Are you actually serious? Bold claim considering that Uthman ordered to collect all the different Qurans, compiled his own and then ordered all the original manuscripts to be burned. All according to authentic hadith by Al-Bukhari. BTW: Up to this day Quran-Variations exist.

The most banned book of all time. The Gospel of Barnabas. They have found 100’s of copies of this ancient gospel and every single time it is hidden again. Amazing how the Vatican and the zio’s will go into overdrive to suppress it calling it a forgery even when copies are found in the original Aramaic. It names the last prophet by name with no translation just as the other gospels used to before alteration. The Quran is the only revelation from God to ever resist suppression or alteration and now we see why that is such a miracle. Now watch while armies of brainwashed morons jump in to comment saying the same old BS they were programmed to say “mug forgery cuz mah priests said.”
