Wrong. Arabs conquered & ended Sassanid Persia in 651 CE, direct Caliphate rule for centuries. Pre-Safavid Iran was mostly Sunni. Safavids (1500s) forcibly converted Iran to Shia with massacres & imported Arab clerics. Not continuous Persian control since Cyrus. Read history. That’s back and forth

@myguy125 @SBarrettBar @PahlaviReza It’s you who’s spouting nonsense. The Persians have been in control since Cyrus the great! Back and forth where? 😂 how do think Shia Islam was established. Talking about Arabs doesn’t change the facts. my point still stands, trying learning before replying

🗓️ Exactly two months ago on 28 February, #Iran was thrown into digital darkness as authorities cut off access to the global internet. Metrics show the blackout is now entering its 60th day after 1416 hours despite regime efforts to introduce tiered access for privileged groups.

@PahlaviReza Iran deserves a free, democratic future chosen by its people, not ruled by repression and shutdowns. The world should stand with the Iranian opposition for real change. #KingRezaPahlavi‌ForIran #FreeIran

@gghamari Spot on, Goldie. Iranians proved they’re ready for democracy with the 1906 Constitutional Revolution and parliament, 12 years before Germany’s Weimar Republic. The Iranian people aren’t the problem. Even on Mossadegh: he was a flawed nationalist who nationalized oil but grew increasingly authoritarian (suspended elections, dodgy referendum). Not a pure democrat. But Mark Curtis’ Secret Affairs (based on declassified UK files) shows the real sabotage: Britain’s MI6 actively colluded with radical Shia Islamist Ayatollah Kashani and his militant networks (predecessors to Khomeini) to organize riots and overthrow Mossadegh in 1953, all to protect British oil interests. The coup strengthened the Shah’s hand. Under the Pahlavi Shah, Iran transformed into a prosperous, modernizing nation women’s rights advanced (voting in 1963), literacy soared, economy boomed, and he began steering toward further reforms and greater democracy. Yet when the 1979 revolution hit, Britain dropped support for the Shah and quietly pivoted toward Khomeini’s side to safeguard their interests. Western powers helped create the mess by repeatedly undermining Iran’s own democratic experiments for geopolitical and oil reasons. Secular democracy is in Iran’s DNA. The sabotage came from outside interference + the regime that destroyed the progress Iranians had achieved. Time to stop blaming the people. 📖🔥

Exposing the hypocrisy, racism and colonialist mindset of the woke left. The audacity for a German politician to say that Iranians are not ready for democracy. But guess what? Iran was a democracy 12 years before Germany. And during WWII thousands of Jews escaped Europe and Nazi Germany and sought refuge in IRAN. Don't judge Iran or Iranians based on the actions of a foreign 7th century Islamic occupation. This is why we Iranians are fighting to free ourselves from this backwards, foreign ideology. Here's a brief lesson on the history of democracy in Iran.

@mrmrnononsense @SBarrettBar @PahlaviReza Again you are spouting nonsense. ~1390 years ago the arabs took over for 170-300 years and it’s been a back and forth since. And if you want to go there try 2500 years 👍 you need to read a book every now and then 😅

@myguy125 @SBarrettBar @PahlaviReza No I don’t think so 🤣 diaspora Iranians were never in power pre 1953. Its was a US/UK coup over Iran nationalising OIL. Thats why they tried to install a new family, until the Muslims took it back as they should have. They’ve ruled the land for over 1600 years, Persians👍🏽

O self-proclaimed upholders of justice and human rights! @UN @UN_HRC Iran has now endured 59 days of near-total internet blackout, isolating 90 million people from the world, families abroad, and any chance to document what’s happening inside. Is this just a fancy title, or are you actually going to do something about it? #IranInternetBlackout #DigitalBlackOutIran

⚖️ #Iran's internet blackout has now entered its 59th day after 1392 hours of near-total disconnection from the outside world. The prolonged shutdown continues to cast a veil of digital darkness over human rights violations on the ground.

1,200 Iranians were killed by their own government in the Bandar Abbas explosion a year ago. In this past year, tens of thousands of other innocent Iranians have been killed by the Islamic Republic. The Islamic Regime has a long history of killing its own people, lying about it, and covering it up with propaganda. This is why many Iranians do not trust their government's official story on the Minab school bombing. Every morning another innocent Iranian life is lost under executions. As long as the Islamic Republic exists in any form, Iran and Iranians are not safe! #DigitalBlackOutIran
