@fauxmantis I was only outside today for less than 5 minutes, going to and from work, and it was so bad. Even opening the door to leave and enter my apartment caused my partner to cough a lot. I could taste the smoke in the air

fyi that you can go to the Shedd aquarium in Chicago and they let you pet the sturgeon. the sturgeon love it. they’re like puppies they come back for more

how to have a sturgeon summer: 1. become quite large 2. use your barbels to find prey among the gravel along the bottom of the river 3. extend your siphon-like mouth to eat small fish, shellfish, and crustaceans 4. launch yourself out of the water and make a big splash for fun

@rotatedmolars Whenever I get to go pet them, I cherish every moment. They’re so cute and sweet, I would let my whole arm freeze in that cold water just to pet them as long as I can!

@noahpasaran I’m local to the area, I’ve been to the Shedd many many times! It’s my favorite place in the world. I’ve already been there twice this year, most recent was for Pride Night! I capped off my visit petting the sturgeon, tipsy off a vodka lemonade. It was the best night of my life!

@pixieeeshop RIGHT like I typically only go for smiskis bc I love them all. There’s ones I’d REALLY like but I like all of the options because they’re all so cute. You don’t have to chase after 1 thing you like in a sea of what you don’t! No one’s making you!
