The United States is resolute in advancing our interests in Bosnia and Herzegovina.  For 30 years, our commitment to the Dayton Peace Agreement and a stable and secure Bosnia and Herzegovina has been unwavering. We are deeply concerned by last night's signing of the anti-constitutional and anti-Dayton laws the RS National Assembly recently adopted.  Let us be clear — this is a deliberate provocation to BiH's constitutional order and poses a direct threat to BiH's stability and security and to U.S. strategic objectives.  To all political leaders, and in particular to those behind these decisions, our message is this:  Refrain from engaging in further destabilizing actions and incendiary rhetoric.  Engage in constructive and responsible political dialogue.  Support BiH's democratic institutions and uphold the rule of law.  And do your part to lower the political temperature.  The citizens you serve deserve no less. The United States strongly supports BiH's sovereignty and territorial integrity and its path towards full integration into the Euro-Atlantic community. #USAinBIH

Appalled to see the EU threaten Kosovo with further negative measures should Ibar Bridge reopen. This was agreed in 2015 with an implementation date of 2017 - why is it different to the other previous agreements EU is forcing Kosovo to uphold? The new UK Govt and new EU team must make clear they support building bridges in Kosovo, not roadblocks and segregation. The EU is yet to take any meaningful action against Serbia despite the wealth of evidence linking Milan Radoicic and the Banjska attackers to the Serbian state. To punish Kosovo for opening a bridge, whilst ignoring Banjska, suggests that the process itself is deeply unfair and in need of urgent reform.

With an overwhelming majority of delegate votes from @NATO member states, 🇽🇰 is now an associate member of NATO's Parliamentary Assembly. This news is especially fitting, as it comes on the cusp of the 25th anniversary of Kosova’s liberation, one of NATO's greatest achievements.

Kosovo provided its citizens in the northern municipalities of our Republic with the opportunity to remove the current mayors and elect new ones through a recall process. However, citizens largely did not take advantage of this opportunity. Unfortunately, this was primarily due to pressure from Belgrade, exerted by the Serbian List and illegal criminal structures. Once again, Serbia has illegally interfered in the electoral process of another country. Once again, Vučić has not kept his word given to international partners. Nevertheless, Kosovo has once again demonstrated maturity, exemplary organization, and full respect for its laws and Constitution by offering all communities, without distinction, the opportunity to choose their representatives. I thank the Central Election Commission, our security institutions, and our partners for their work, dedication, and cooperation. With today's process, Kosovo has met all the conditions required by the EU. The unjust measures against Kosovo must be lifted immediately.
