URGENT PSA: AutoClaw leaves behind persistence hooks after uninstall Just uninstalled AutoClaw and it kept trying to push the AutoGLM Chrome extension. Investigated and found the uninstaller fails to clean up: - Chrome Native Messaging Host — registers com.autoclaw.native_host_stub in your registry(HKCU\SOFTWARE\Google\Chrome\NativeMessagingHosts) pointing to a JSON manifest in AppData. This is what keeps triggering the extension install prompt even after the app is gone. - Chrome Extension registry entry — stays registered under HKCU\SOFTWARE\Google\Chrome\Extensions. Full AppData folder left behind at %APPDATA%\AutoClaw — including auth tokens, refresh tokens, your email, and a device ID. All in plaintext (the tokens are lightly encoded, not encrypted). -Empty Program Files directory left behind. The app also opens a local WebSocket gateway on port 18789 and has a "heartbeat" that phones home every 2 hours (heartbeatInterval: "2h" in settings). If you've uninstalled it and still see AutoGLM prompts, you need to manually delete the registry entries and the AppData folder. The uninstaller does not do this for you. Not saying it's malware, but an app that leaves behind auth credentials and browser persistence hooks after uninstall is at best sloppy, at worst deliberately sticky. Either way — heads up.
