Speaker #3 Nada Albaba @nadaG6182 Nada Albaba is 32 years old and a mother of five children aged ten and younger; her youngest son, Mohammed, was born in August 2025. The family of seven was displaced from their home in Rafah and has been forced to move at least nine times since October 2023. They currently live in a worn tent that has been their only shelter for two years and now needs repairs. With no steady income except occasional donations and no nearby soup kitchens, they struggle daily for food and water. Mohammed needs milk, diapers, and regular medication for recurring respiratory issues, while Nada herself is suffering from iron deficiency and malnutrition. The older children have been out of school for a long time, and the family hopes to restart even basic education for them. Nada says that with $1,000–$1,500 they could start a small income-generating project to cover their most essential needs. Right now they are simply asking for help with housing, consistent food and drinking water, milk and diapers for the baby, medicine, and a chance for the children to continue learning. chuffed.org/project/157042…

I witness trials in this world that weigh heavily upon my heart. I live through moments when I have no companion but Allah. I hear words that wound my soul, so I entrust all my affairs to Allah. I part with things I dearly love, and I say, “Allah has decreed, and whatever He wills, He does.” I am broken time and again, yet my supplications mend me. Life hurts me, but the Qur’an heals me. The world closes in around me, yet a single prostration gives me space to breathe. I wipe away my tears with the water of ablution, certain that after hardship comes ease. And I continue to call upon my Lord, hoping that I will never be among those of whom it is said: *“My Lord, let me not be disappointed in my supplication to You.”
