@eigenrobot Stop trying to cheer me up. Also this happens at least once a year in Denver and everyone still goes to work.

@ReichelRadio He did NOT touch the ball. His arms were 8-10 inches from the ball as he threw it. Heres a pic from the correct angle to show the ball literally leaving his hands while the defenders arms are clearly hitting the arms only. It was a backward pass, live ball, should have been a TD

In what world is that a backwards pass? Stidham is clearly attempting to throw a 2-handed chest pass forward. The ball went backwards because the Patriots player hit the ball as he threw it. What an atrocious fumble call.

@Puck_Line_Pro @ReichelRadio it doesn't matter if he made contact with the ball or his forearm. If the contact from the defender comes after he starts his throwing motion, it is always a forward pass regardless of where the ball lands. Forward Pass | NFL Football Operations

@ReichelRadio See how the patriots forearm is hitting stiddys forearm. The patriot hit stiddys arm... not the ball. Stiddy, by himself threw that ball backwards🤷‍♂️ You can planely see the ball... stiddys hand... the defenders hand in back Stiddys fingers still pushing the ball backwards 💯

@Incel_Sebastian @vinnyj96 @GeneSteratore Doesn’t matter… if contact by the defender to the QB happens after the throwing motion has started it’s considered a forward pass regardless of where the ball lands.

Officials on the field have to let these ones "play out". The whistle being blown prevented this from being a touchdown. #NEvsDEN

@BarstoolGruden He is contacted before he starts his forward motion, therefore he is responsible for the direction of the pass.

Did someone say tuck rule? I still don’t know what a fumble is! And I’m still having people explain it to me that can’t explain it!

@tjmcaulay Terry - respectfully, can you explain why this was a backward pass and not an incomplete forward pass? It looks to me like the defender makes contact after Stidham starts his throwing motion, in which case it would be incomplete or what am I missing here? The refs didn't explain.

The Denver forward/backward pass in the 1st half was extremely complex and needs clarification. It was initially ruled an incomplete forward pass with the whistle blown before NE picked up the football. Based on the announcement, they changed the ruling to backward pass on the field. But by doing that, it created an erroneous whistle which would require the down to be replayed and NE cannot get the ball. Had they stayed with the initial ruling, Replay could review and NE would have been awarded the ball after review because erroneous whistle rules would not apply. Ultimately, the result was correct, but the process to get there was not.

@eigenrobot Inflation is above target but pretty under control. Growth is good. Unemployment is low. Street wants rates lower because biz is slow. Tail wags dog.

the social mandate to wear clothing is like most social mandates practical. the main value from the mandate comes from the ease and from the public nature of performance basically, only insane ppl can't do it, and they consistently cant. so clothes=signal you're not totally nuts

@Empty_America @eigenrobot Commuting killed it. Went to plenty of cocktails and dinner parties when living in the city, even with two young children. Now in the suburbs, and there is nothing that will keep me in the city after 6pm.

The death of Adult nightlife is another weird thing. My grandparents gave/attended cocktail parties that went until the wee hours until at least their 60s. Nightclubs were also a thing for adults. Now American nightlife is lame and tends to end in one's 30s, if not before.

@Empty_America The median American of any race is 38.5. Someone would make a lot of money figuring out a way to revive the Adult Nightlife that died in the 1960s.
