As much as I appreciate the accountability move. Let's be honest here. They get fed, travel and lodge for free wherever they go. Their campaign accounts typically supplement all of their costs.
Whatever they aren't getting paid they make up for with Insider Trading. (They don't retire millionaires on their Government salary) It's a good salary, but not that good. No one in the Senate will remotely suffer forgoing pay for a few weeks. Which they will all get in back pay regardless, once any shutdown taking place concludes.
Its a pretty package, but there's nothing in that box but a sound bite.

DNI Tulsi Gabbard's office just stormed and ransacked by our own CIA siezing documents set for declassification. We live in exceptionally precarious and dangerous times.
Assassination attempts, warrantless raiding Executive level administration offices, fabricating false narratives to the American public via a complicit media make no mistake, this is the military wing of the deep state, and apparently they answer to no one.

From the seemingly bizarre Greenland obsession to currently the Straight of Hormuz the Administration's objectives become.fairly obvious. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. Economic isolation and manipulation affecting any power seeking to challenge the economic might of the United States.
In the case if Iran, War was just a means to an end to establish a permanent presence in the straight and economic payback for decreasingly compliant European states and once NATO allies.

1. Was / Is the Iran Conflict about regime change or nuclear deterrence - for the Trump Administration?
2. Has the United States, become a puppet for the State of Israel and Benjamin Netanyahu?
3. What are the United States actual key objectives tangential to the conflict in Iran?
A 1. As much as so many Iranian ex-pats and Congressional war hawks submit to the idea that this is supposedly a freedom focused conflict for the Iranian people, the evidence by virtue of our acts contradict this idea.
Without boots on the ground there is no regime change, and there is no likelihood of boots materializing any time soon, much less at all. Where would they come from? Not us it's political kryptonite, not Sunni opposition, its financially infeasible.
Trump's statement calling on the Iranian people to rise up and take back their country is about as rhetorical as it gets. How exactly is an unarmed, untrained cosmopolitan population supposed to do that? Obviously they cant.
In fact this conflict has insured 6 figure murders and death unlike they've ever seen and there is no cavalry coming, no moral objective that exists to save them - not from the United States nor Iran's Sunni neighbors. A militarily and economically weakened Iran serves everyone there and the Administration well enough and Iran's internal struggles removes them as a regional threat to its neighbors - mission accomplished.
Iran for any non-hardliner non-Shia subject of the regime has become a far more dangerous place as restraint towards dissidents has been conceptually abandoned. Its the cruel reality for anti-regime Iranians and and reflects the heartless nature of a hegemonic power.
While nuclear deterrence overtly remains an objective of the Israeli Government, it is less so one of ours. While where they are, as far as their uranium enrichment process is concerned remains a clouded mystery - as we've been told its both destroyed and an imminent nuclear threat repeatedly. The Iranians can't reach any targets with a payload free missile, much less one with a multi-ton nuclear warhead anywhere that remotely poses a threat to our interests. Its an exclusively Israeli concern.
A 2. Strategic partners, but not a puppet. As much as Trump's detractors seek to attack everything he does, all the time, from all angles let's be realistic. How can Donald Trump be both "a puppet" and an "authoritarian" at the same time? While it's likely postmodernist academics that make up new truths daily may have a response, it's categorically illogical and inconsistent with Trump's character. Obviously he desires control, and seeks to serve his own will above any other objective.
What this means is that while Israel's objectives of a weakened Iran and Nuclear free Iran remain overt, they are tangential to the interests of the United States, the State Department and the Trump Administration. What Israel wants and the methodology employed in how they've gone about it appears to be a stepping stone to the ultimate objective of the Trump Administration, in particular.
A 3. The real answer lies in economic hegemony and absolute control of virtually every maritime shipping lane choke point throughout the world. Including:
Strait of Hormuz: Connects the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman; crucial for global oil shipments.
Strait of Malacca: Connects the Indian Ocean and the South China Sea; one of the world's busiest routes.
Sunda and Lombok Straits: Key secondary passages alternative to the Strait of Malacca.
Suez Canal: Connects the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea; vital link between Europe and Asia.
Panama Canal: Connects the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans; vital to Americas-Asia trade.
Bab el-Mandeb Strait: Connects the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden; the southern gateway to the Suez Canal.
Cape of Good Hope: The major alternate route for ships rerouting around the Red Sea/Suez Canal.
Bering Strait: A rapidly growing Arctic corridor for trans-oceanic shipping.

A scenario outcome both the @CA_Dem & @CAGOP would like to avoid for varying reasons.
Ds because of cost, Rs because of turnout suppression. Should other Democrats drop out, or Sheriff Bianco experience a surge we may likely end up with a race between crazy vs. inept.

You can't make this stuff up.
Star Trek Deep Space 9 Season 3 Episodes 11-12
Features a future San Francisco - for viewers in the 90's, (the past on the show) set in 2024 (seriously) where the City is overrun with homeless people that were all promised jobs and aid but instead the City just corrals them into homeless villages and does nothing while they prey on each other and die in the streets.
Sound familiar

Looks like Becerra's the establishment Huckleberry & Hilton the anti-Huckleberry. What to expect:
Media outlets, leftist establishment, influencers - all likely to wholly ignore Bianco.
Money will pour in directly & indirectly from PACs to Becerra then focus solely on Hilton hits to set the stage for an R on D general contest seeking to avoid early fears of a top 2 R race with a D shut out.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is facing renewed criticism after reports revealed that pre-paid debit cards for illegal immigrants were funded through an NGO that received $34 million directly from California taxpayers.
Bass had publicly stated that the city itself would not pay for the cards, which were intended for individuals avoiding ICE. The funding connection has prompted questions from residents about transparency and how public money is being allocated.
This development has added to broader discussions in Los Angeles about government spending priorities and accountability in the use of taxpayer funds.

The Audacity of Democrats fretting about losing control of a state they've so earnestly and thoroughly laid to waste.
"Extremely Scary" is of course LA Times phrasing of a scenario that puts a Republican back into the Governor's Office in California.
Californians (Democrat voters) have abdicated their power to Democratic officials in office allowing uncontested districts, not questioning their resistance to waste and fraud probes then accepting lies that they're "doing all they can" to clean up deteriorating infrastructure, rampant homelessness and drug fueled crime and overdose deaths - as long as the Democrat runs on a platform of F-bombing Trump.
Its quite literally insane.
