A fairly compact low-pressure system will dig south off the Ca coast today before moving east across our area tonight into Thursday. This will bring a decent burst of wintry weather with gusty winds & below normal temps. The snow level will drop to around 5,000 feet with several inches of snow possible through Thursday morning. A few thunderstorms could linger into Thursday afternoon before low-pressure exits. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from midnight tonight to 6pm Thursday for as much as 4-8" of snow. Travel safe and still carry those chains!
