Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA condemns in the strongest terms this vile, Islamophobic and deeply un-American attack on @ZohranKMamdani, a public servant and fellow citizen. When you mock a Muslim public figure as “little Muhammad,” you’re not just attacking one person — you’re sending a message to millions of Muslims that our faith, our names, our very identities are punchlines. This dehumanizes us. It reinforces the idea that Muslims are foreign, suspect, or lesser — no matter how American we are, how we serve or how we contribute. For young Muslims, especially, it signals that no matter how hard they work, they’ll still be reduced to a slur. And invoking “Muhammad” like it’s an insult is deeply personal and an attack on the name of our beloved Prophet (sa), the heart of our faith. It crosses every line of decency and feeds the same hate that fuels discrimination, violence and exclusion. This isn’t free speech — it’s hate speech with real-world consequences.
