@NewsArenaIndia Good. Owners being punished is good, but it won’t have been possible without help from officials who would have given permission

@figma Everything is always evolving. Can’t get stuck on to old methods and stop trying to see how things evolve. Change is always uncomfortable

🚨SOMEONE REINVENTED HOW TEXT RENDERS ON THE WEB AND ITS ABSOLUTELY INSANE. the goated dev behind react, reasonML, and midjourney’s frontend, just dropped Pretext. a tiny typescript library that measures and lays out text 500x faster than the DOM. he trained models against real browser rendering for weeks until the output matched safari, chrome, and firefox exactly. the demos are insane!! hundreds of thousands of text boxes at 120fps. magazine layouts and chat bubbles that actually wrap right. engineers from Vercel, Remix, Figma, and shadcn all cosigned. this is the kind of open source that makes you want to be a better dev. here are some cool demos in the past 24hrs👇

My dear front-end developers (and anyone who’s interested in the future of interfaces): I have crawled through depths of hell to bring you, for the foreseeable years, one of the more important foundational pieces of UI engineering (if not in implementation then certainly at least in concept): Fast, accurate and comprehensive userland text measurement algorithm in pure TypeScript, usable for laying out entire web pages without CSS, bypassing DOM measurements and reflow

@Kenneth @hckmstrrahul Yes And also on Rahul suggests, others don’t expect, but there’s always something that is on oneself to lead by example. Can strike a reasonable balance

IC leadership is one of the toughest career paths to choose. one has to be ‘visible’ physically (with your presence) as well as digitally (with your work). unsustainable in long run, especially for chaotic minds.

@Kenneth @hckmstrrahul I slightly disagree as I have been picking up something or the other alongside team or sometimes any small solo improvements for impact and stay connected with team as well on what should be our benchmarks

@hckmstrrahul That’s true. But the meetings and other responsibilities across verticals ends up balancing that. So that’s also not sustainable in my experience unless you have small scope of work.

Design influencers love to sum up what you need as a designer as "taste" and "craft". Two typical cliché words with lost meaning. What they won't tell you that you need: time, repetition, years of never-ending practice, hard work, failures, risk, creativity, drive, determination, goals, graphic design skills, real ux skills, attention to detail, some psychology, patience, ability to listen, to accept and interpret feedback, business thinking, the desire to improve and move with the constant industry changes, luck every now and then, happy mistakes, trial and errors, visual communication, ability to research, pattern recognition, good day dreamer and mental visualizer, curiosity, consistency, resourcefulness, and so...oh so much more than two overly used words could ever sum up. It's time to wake up. It takes a lot to be a successful designer. We'd need 2 years to go over it all not 2 words.

When companies stop listening to their designer, they stop caring about design. When they stop caring about design, they stop caring about their product. Design isn’t a nice to have, it’s a necessity. Listen to your designers. We’re more than pretty pictures.

Everyone is hyped about Gemini 3.0 Pro… but barely anyone knows how to actually use it to replace real work. I collected 300+ mega prompts that turn Gemini into a full-blown productivity engine. Comment "AI" and I’ll DM you everything.
