Still in the prototype stage but I’m going to run with the ‘EXTRACTion’ reading format with Y10 next week. Offers a range of different reading aspects. E.g. scan for characters/summarise key events. Hopefully ensures students fully pick apart the whole extract. #historyteacher

I'm building a list of teaching strategies that encourage higher levels of participation and thinking from pupils. What would you add to this list? - No opt out - Cold calling - Mini whiteboards - Build Upon - Track the speaker - All hands up Thanks in advance!

One of the absolutely *maddest* things about the current content-heavy GCSE specs in history is that you can be a way for a _single_ lesson and it be a topic of a ~20 mark question. That’s most/all of a grade boundary.

Miss Robinson: today 5 of our TGC Ambassadors were invited by Mrs Barnes to present to head teachers from across Southampton, on the impact they have had at RPCC within girls sport. I couldn't be prouder of what they've achieved; they're an absolute inspiration! @RegentsParkCC
