Introducing our newest roast: Charcoal. We kept going past light, past medium, past dark... past the point of no return. Smells like ambition. Tastes like bad decisions. You're welcome. #itsnotbrnt #unbrnt #coffeeroasters #coffee

As a father of disabled children there is not a force on earth that could hold me back from providing my own justice against this man. He deserves the beating of is miserable life. That child has to trust caregivers — it breaks my heart. Adults violating the vulnerability of the disabled is unforgivable. You deserve nothing but the worst.

ICYMI: A New York nurse was caught on camera beating and choking a crying, disabled 5-year-old boy — and wasn’t arrested until the footage hit local news. Let that sink in. The child’s father — an NYPD detective with 500+ arrests — says police told him they needed a doctor’s signature to confirm the assault “wasn’t medically necessary”… despite the entire attack being on video. Only after News 12 aired the footage did Suffolk police finally make an arrest. Even worse: a Special Victims Unit detective allegedly refused to expedite the case because he was about to go on vacation. “I’ve never heard anything like this in my life,” the father said. “I’m embarrassed to say we’re in the same line of work.” Why did it take public outrage to trigger basic justice? ⬇️ 🇺🇸

I tried 9 different prompts asking Grok to generate a naked image. Zero success. All the media coverage is simply a relentless attack on Elon Musk. Nothing more than that.

@natedlee I didn't have any experience…..not with god anyway. Why do you assume someone hurt me or that Christians were just bad people?

Imagine belonging to a religion that's requires you to see yourself as nothing, then asks you to spread that “good news” to everyone.

Do that then. Otherwise you’re pushing another religion; with your obsessive need to bash what was once your belief - largely b/c you had a bad experience. Consider this - you put your faith in people rather than a Savior. People will always fail you. Always. Every church is filled with them. Find a church of sinners.

@natedlee I am devoted to my husband. Devoted to my 93 year old mom. Devoted to my kids and grandkids. I am not devoted atheism just because I respond to posts on twitter. No religion there.

@AnnieForTruth Except when it comes to killing unborn babies. They apparently don’t need to be fed. I agree with you. We’d not be friends if your logic resolves to conditional feeding of the babies you value vs all babies.

This shouldn’t be a philosophical debate. It’s a misunderstanding of how infectious disease works. Vaccines aren’t perfect. The measles vaccine is 97% effective with two doses, not 100%, so some vaccinated people remain vulnerable. More importantly, some people can’t be vaccinated at all: infants under 12 months, immunocompromised patients, people with anaphylactic reactions to vaccine components. They depend on the rest of us not spreading a highly contagious virus to them. Measles has an R0 of 12-18, meaning each infected person spreads it to 12-18 others in an unvaccinated population. The virus can linger in the air for two hours after an infected person leaves a room. At that level of contagion, you need 92-95% vaccine coverage to stop community transmission. When coverage drops, outbreaks happen, and the people who pay the price are often those who had no choice in the matter. “My body, my choice” makes sense for decisions that affect only your body. Transmissible disease isn’t that. Your choice not to vaccinate can put a 6-month-old in the hospital or kill an immunocompromised kid who couldn’t get the shot. The question isn’t “why does it matter if I take it.” The question is whether your comfort with risk should override someone else’s right not to get infected by you.
Joe Rogan Podcast News@joeroganhq

Tucker Carlson: "If the vaccine is effective and you take it, then why does it matter if I take it?" Cheryl Hines: "It doesn’t make any sense." Tucker: "So ‘my body, my choice’ was not a real thing, it turned out... It’s your body, my choice."

@hookskat I see. Sounds like you’ve got it all figured out and now you’re proselytizing against it. Either way you’re pushing a religion, to be candid.

@hookskat Analogies are all weird. It’s their nature. I’ll trust you can see the point of it. If not, it’s because you don’t wan to, and that’s a choice.

Ok. 1. I don’t disagree and would probably also judge this dad. But also, 2. You have no idea what’s going on here. At all. Like no context at all. There are many versions of this scene. Maybe that dad is a total DB and failing. Maybe he’s failing tonight, and winning other days. Maybe his wife gives him no credit for any of his efforts. Maybe the kids are autistic. Maybe he just got back from the bathroom. Maybe he just got back from the bathroom and he ignored his family. Maybe he just got back from the bathroom and his wife asked him why he took so long. Maybe he’s having an affair. Maybe his wife is having an affair. Maybe he just lost his job. You have no idea what’s going on.

You don’t “see” one? What does that even mean. If you try 1 tomato soup and it’s pretty bad, do you give up on tomato soup? Say things like “I don’t see a good tomato soup to convince me it’s good”? It’s weird. Truth is truth, or it’s not. It’s not depended on the right flavor. You haven’t experienced Christ. You’ve experienced sinners in church. There’s a MASSIVE difference.

@natedlee Everyone who is a Christian has their own brand of the religion. Mine was indeed a negative one, but I dont see a positive one to convince me the fable is true.

On this Christmas eve, remember Bishop Mariann Budde courageously stood up to Trump, imploring him to "show mercy" to vulnerable members of our society, before his regime embarked on a campaign of cruelty. We need more heroes like Bishop Budde.
