Be aware of mortality, but don't fear it.

@sahbdeane @Evie4Freedom @redusa21 To an extent; however, we largely agree that unjustified killing other humans is bad and it would be silly for you to argue against that with "morals are subjective".
English

@Freedom4037 @LuffyDMonkeyOda @voidpnkprincess @StoryTimeTom1 @AndyBuzz72 The god of the Bible commands and condones genocide
You lose
English

@Freedom4037 @LuffyDMonkeyOda @voidpnkprincess @StoryTimeTom1 @AndyBuzz72 You didn’t answer the question
English

@MarvinMediocre @thejerryproctor Muslims and Jews and hundreds of Christian denominations use the same book and can’t even come close to agreeing on morality.
You lose.
It’s a dumb position
English

@thejerryproctor @natesims07 I understand every word you've said. You keep making moral claims without a basis for objective morality. You hate that term because your worldview can't deal with it. Your moral claims are nothing more than your preferences. You might as well be discussing your favorite color.
English

@thejerryproctor @natesims07 I'm only repeating the same question because you refuse to answer it. Instead of answering what your basis is for objective morality, you talk about your subjective morality, which is nothing more than your preferences. So, I'm a bad person because you don't like what I said.
English

@thejerryproctor @natesims07 How is that principle objective? What is the objective source of that principle? All you have is a principle that many people agree on. The subjective preferences of a lot of people is not objective.
Why are those actions objectively good?
English

@natesims07 @BHaasTSD @godless_mom Basically, I do not accept macro-evolution. There are many reasons for that. It’s an unrepeatable theory. There far too many “missing links”. Humans are essentially nothing like apes and chimps. There is far too much intelligent design in living things.
English

@JSkeleton92 @Deej_Best_Girl @Drift0r Platitudes aren’t arguments
You sound like the crazy guy with the megaphone standing on the milk crate
English

@Deej_Best_Girl @Drift0r God's eternal. Without God you believe the irrational impossibility that nothing created everything. Your conscience condemns you. Don't suppress it. There's hope in Christ for those who will humble themselves, repent, & trust in Him. We're all going to give an account one day.
English

@BHaasTSD @godless_mom Without God, we only have Evolution, and “survival of the fittest”, “only the strong survive”. Morals are just subjective, based on time, place and persons. Human life, then, does not have inherent value. Evolution doesn’t explain self-sacrificial love, like jumping on a grenade
English

@JSkeleton92 @TrnkMnkyMedia @Drift0r I have close friends who have killed many people. They’re serial killers. They did it as a job as a soldier. We judge the action based on the subjective scenario. That context matters.
English

@natesims07 @TrnkMnkyMedia @Drift0r Context isn't subjective. Context is giving clarity to something. If I said "Nate is a serial killer" but left out the context of which Nate & so people thought it was you, then obviously context adds objectivity to WHICH Nate is the serial killer. Context matters.
English

@MarvinMediocre @JayRogers24 @DR_KentNelson @jaelblade @Kdubtru @RealMTrombley If your brain is anything other than chemical reactions, you should write a paper and collect your Nobel prize.
English

@JayRogers24 @DR_KentNelson @jaelblade @Kdubtru @RealMTrombley How do you know your brain is complex enough to question and learn to understand?
If your mind is just chemical reactions in the brain, how do you know that anything you think is true?

English

@MarvinMediocre @thejerryproctor You think genocide isn’t objectively wrong.
Marvin Mediocre@MarvinMediocre
@DanCongerAuthor @DrStevenJLawson First, this was judgment against wicked people (Gen 15:16). Second, his command was to rid these people from the land. The Israelites were not told to pursue them if they left. Third, the fact that they took the wives and children (Num 31), demonstrates this was not genocide.
English

@JSkeleton92 @TrnkMnkyMedia @Drift0r You are a dumb person
Context is, literally, the differentiation between subjective and objective
English

Josh (JSkeleton) ʎllǝʞS@JSkeleton92
@natesims07 @TrnkMnkyMedia @Drift0r The Bible condemns any kind of abusive slavery whatsoever. You're looking through the lens of American slavery. There was a kind of slavery where people merely lived with & worked for someone of higher prestige & in return their families were fed, clothed, sheltered,taken care of
English

@natesims07 @TrnkMnkyMedia @Drift0r Actually it isn't. You're clearly just a troll. There IS a context that you fail to even care about understanding or representing accurately, which is a lack of integrity in this discussion. Like I said, God condemned any kind of abusive slavery without a doubt. It's clear.
English

@JSkeleton92 @TrnkMnkyMedia @Drift0r If something is objective, context doesn’t matter. If context matters, it’s subjective.
That’s why people make fun of you.
English

@natesims07 @TrnkMnkyMedia @Drift0r I'm trying to explain that in ancient contexts, it was a different society that functioned differently & there were kinds of slavery that were NOT oppressive nor abusive, in which God 100% condemned said type.
English

@natesims07 @TrnkMnkyMedia @Drift0r You're reading it all through the bias of YOUR (our) society without having the slightest understanding of how historical societies work. Of course we look down upon it in our society. All we know of the word is the American slavery of recent years which is abhorrent.
