@HappyPawsTreats @TheKennyDevine I'm sorry you are scared of something that's not even close to true, the body of the Voice would have been just another advisory board at best. No Gov is going to commission a body that can overrule it's own decommissions.

Had the voice got up, the Constitution would have been changed to make Aboriginals the ruling class. Control of Australia would have then been "green lit" for the UN to take control. The Aboriginals were merely the "useful idiots" in the process. All driven by the "blaktivists". The full bloods were against "the voice" from the get go. "VTP" was merely a palatable term for the sheep to swallow, digest & accept.

Big group of soy boys getting triggered by a Welcome to Country at an ANZAC service. Aren't they the ones that say people are too easily offended these days? What a bunch of snowflake cry babies.

@SonOfATech In Aus we still use paper ballots, we have to vote but drawing a dick on the paper or not ticking any boxes still counts as a voting but is deemed informal. I would think that statistics of informal votes would send the message you want to send instead of not voting at all.

I stopped voting and I think you should too. It’s the only way to send a message. I refuse to vote for evil even if it’s less. I refuse to turn a blind eye anymore. They are all friends and they don’t care about you. If they did Hillary or Trump would be in jail…. News flash they aren’t. Trump is a fucking piece of shit like Clinton. That’s the reality…. They have cleverly convinced you it’s only the other party. Meanwhile they work together to deceive us into thinking there is no other option and that your neighbor that’s a republican or your liberal coworker is the problem while they drain the economy and collapse the US in the name of a holy war that is very real but are on the wrong side of.

Appalled but not surprised to see govt caving to the gas companies. This just makes me more determined to go harder on our campaign to get a fair return on our gas through a 25% tax on gas export revenue. Head to ourgas.com.au to add your voice. abc.net.au/news/2026-04-2…

David Pocock shreds the idea that gas giants choosing to invest in pipes should mean they avoid tax "No other sector in our economy gets the raw material for free"🔥 Tax breaks for big corps who get our resources for $0 doesn’t make us the lucky country—but the stupid country.🙄

Professor Alan Gamlen has called out the media’s nonsense hysteria over “Mass Migration", exposing their cherry picked migration data, & how they conveniently omit departure data in their reporting. ‘The headlines are just simply not true.’💥 #auspol

@Qldaah Its a sad state of affairs when it's easier for us to believe they are AI when based on the the US having no credibility, which also gives too much credibility to Iran, when there are no heroes in this story.

The truth about the 8 Iranian women Trump claims to have saved is it's difficult to get accurate info. They are not AI & are all different cases. Some still in the judicial system & others have been released. 1 was confirmed to be facing the death penalty. yahoo.com/news/articles/…

Collins: I've learned that in recent days, the US has sent Iran a list of broad points that they wanted them to agree to in advance of the next round of talks  But days went by without getting a response, raising questions and suspicions about whether or not much could be achieved in person. Officials had urged the top mediator from Pakistan to get at least some kind of response from Iran before the vice president boarded his flight, but still, hours later, an official tells me there was nothing.

@strangerous10 @moggylana @JohnRowsthorne The companies in Mining in general can be pretty wasteful in generally when the goings are good, they change truck tires more often then then need to and generally won't transport spare parts between sites along with left overs tend to just get binned instead or resold.

Ed Husic calls out Japan’s hypocrisy of resisting gas export taxes while pocketing $40B in energy import taxes. “They import it, collect tax revenue, & make money reselling gas they’re not using themselves.”💥 Australia’s resources, Japan’s revenue. This has to change. #auspol

@GrahamY @strangerous10 When they export 80% of the Gas they dig up, they have room to toughen up, especially when Santos was allowed to buy domestic supply to then export so they could meet their international commitments which then did cause inflation of power prices.

25% on their turnover is not a "bit of tax" and would plunge some of them into loss while making the return on capital for the rest negligible. If they make more money because the price of gas goes up for a while they will pay more tax and more PRRT. Even AI should be able to grasp that.

“Rinehart has found her direct line into the public narrative, having helped pull the Liberals into oblivion. Rinehart has always been about raw power, but this time she has managed to not only hijack the political situation by demonising renewables and the energy transition through political lackeys like Barnaby Joyce, Hanson and co, she is also, on the flip side, making bank.” open.substack.com/pub/deepcutnew…

@strangerous10 She's not wrong though - if the rorts don't stop it will kill the scheme. Labor do need to do more. I don't think they did enough, but anytime the Lib gov mentioned changes to NDIS they got scared off by the public outcry.

Bridget McKenzie, who resigned in disgrace over Sports Rorts, tells Sunrise that the NDIS will only survive if we “stop the rorting.” Extraordinary hypocrisy. From the same party that left the NDIS without fraud protections for a decade. #auspol

The Prime Minister's begging tour around Asia shows just how exposed we are to any disruption in global fuel supply. This is actually our second wake-up call about over-reliance on global supply chains and we can't afford to go back to sleep once more, as we did after the first. The Prime Minister's 'fuel diplomacy coup' in securing two extra deliveries, each of 100 million litres, sounded impressive but actually constituted less than two days' total Australian consumption. What's more, it bordered on deranged for the government to insist that further electrification was the long-term solution to the fuel crisis, even while the PM was pleading for extra petrol and diesel. Immediate crisis averted, the PM will insist that nothing really needs to change, even though almost everything does. Read my latest at The Tony Abbott Newsletter: tonyabbott.au/p/7eb4e88b-27f…
