Answer is $TOST has not been beaten up enough. They essentially set the initial FY26 guide in-line with what they previewed in Q3: 20-22% gross profit growth and 24% EBITDA growth. Down 14% AH.

Toast $TOST Setup Into Earnings I think the million $ question for $TOST is whether the stock has gotten beaten up enough to the point where it can rally on decent-to-good results, which I certainly expect. One must remember that $TOST is a prolific sandbagger, so the initial 2026 guide will likely not be awe-inspiring. Last quarter they previewed their hope to 'exceed' gross profit growth of more than 20% in 2026 and for margins to be 'flat-to-slightly up' versus 2025. I'll be interested to hear what $TOST has to say about U.S. restaurants. $FISV noted November weakness but improved results in December and January. In Q3, $TOST talked about positive SSS during summer months with cooling into fall. Bottom line, the market has been unrelenting to Payments and FinTech names that have reported this season, so you're really at the mercy of day-to-day sentiment as opposed to fundamentals.

Selling shares (to suckers) when your equity market value traded at a large premium to your Bitcoin was smart, albeit immoral. Now selling shares to buy yet more Bitcoin, but with your market cap now at 82% of the market value of your Bitcoin is just plain desperate. And idiotic.

THE VANGUARD EFFECT: Bitcoin jumps 6% right around US open on first day after bitcoin ETF ban lifted. Coincidence? I think not. Also $1b in IBIT volume in first 30min of trading. I knew those Vanguardians had a little degen in them, even some of the most conservative investors like to add a little hot sauce to their portfolio.
