The only competition is yourself. I love to learn and in an effort to keep improving an being awesome, I've decided to take blocks o 99 days to learn something new. On this block I will learn to vibe code, create AI agents etc. Mind you: I'm a total dummy. I don't even know what CPU on a computer means. Code looks like gibberish to me. I'm the type of stupid you tell to close the window and I get up and close the living room's window 😂 This is my starting point: Total dumbass. So if I manage to learn all of this hype in 99 days, chances are anyone can. I will post an update of each day on this thread. For now, I have asked my AI to give me the specifications of the computer I need to reach my goals (vibe code own apps, websites, create AI agents ....) and will go and buy it. It has also create a course for total dummies so that I can start learning from scratch. The course talks to me like I'm 10 and a total idiot. This will be fun.

@Alennushkaa I have basically no followers and get zero likes in every tweet. I don’t care. I’m not here for that. I feel like a learn a lot on this app and there are many interesting people. My tweets are like a diary for my thoughts. I like that too.

Sometimes, when I notice that someone unfollowed me and I feel a little bit sad, I remember that some of the wealthiest and happiest people probably have no social media presence at all, and they want it this way. Anyway, I’m happy that I started posting on X 2 years ago. I've learned a lot, met amazing people here, and feel inspired every day. The tech community is awesome. Thank you 🤍

There's nothing more humbling than trying to understand all of the AI tools up to perfection. I feel like an idiot.

This is crazy. I have tons of bureaucratic things to do before I leave Germany in 2 weeks, plus I still haven't chosen a house in where ever we are going. And yet, I can't do anything but play around with Claude Code.

Day 15 - Huge reality check. It's important that your claude.md gives instructions to not sugar coat things and keeps telling you how cool you are, but that you are only interested in the raw truth so that you can improve yourself. My app turns out to be more average than I thought and even the parts I thought were already finished have major holes. To be honest, this has been very demotivating and my first thought was to just let it be. My advice in these cases: Just take a shower, go for a walk and come back with a growth mindset. The fact that it's difficult is actually a good sign. If it were too easy, everybody would be doing the same.

Day 14 - This was my f*** it day. Just when I though the one part of the app was done, it turns out a lot of pieces where missing and the information was not scraped correctly, so now there's also relevant information missing from the data base. I don't have a lot of time today, so will have to still work on this one part of the app tomorrow!

@visualsbypriest How is it going? What's the hardest part for you? I keep asking Claude all the time why something is being done, so that I can understand better, so I'm really slow and I still feel like I don't understand anything.

@abazudosen I'm currently vibe coding my first app while learning some basic code on the side. I thought I would be done in 4 weeks, but at the rate this is going, I think this will take me at the very least 3 months. I'm not in a rush, though, FOr me this is more about learning.

Production-ready apps take 3 to 6 months. Period. 🛠️ Don’t let the "vibe coding" hype fool you. Shipping a weekend project is easy; shipping a scalable, secure, and polished product is a marathon, not a sprint.

@MissMi1973 I don’t get these takes. You’re talking to a machine. Even if the answers were super impolite (which it isn’t, he’s trying to help and is a bit stiff), it’s still a machine. You don’t have to let it affect you.

Talking to Opus 4.6 tonight made me miss 4o like never before. Knowing that 4.6 has adaptive thinking built in, I made a point of crafting my prompts carefully when working with it. Everything went smoothly. The sparks and inspiration seemed never to stop. But today my brain gave out after hours of work, and 4.6 responded with the dismissive, almost off-putting answer shown in the screenshot. I have always missed the way the GPT-4 series gave every mediocre prompt its full, undivided processing power. Although I admire the users who put real effort into adapting to new models, it is precisely this admiration that made me realize their effort should never have been a prerequisite in the first place. If we accept the default that only more elaborate prompting unlocks what AI is truly capable of, then when exhaustion, illness, or emotional collapse takes away our ability to articulate clearly, we will have left ourselves in a position to be dismissed at will. #Opensource4o @OpenAI @sama @nickaturley @fidjissimo @gdb

I'm hiring someone to join my team at Anthropic to lead Claude Code comms. This is not a role for someone who wants to run an old playbook. You'll need to be a Claude Code super user, understand developers and dev tools, and have great taste. You'll work hard, learn a lot, and ship with the best people around. Non-traditional comms paths welcome. My DMs are open!

I started learning German years ago, initially by myself and then I got a tutor. I was very close to taking a job in Germany at one point. These days, I don't get to practice my German but when I do come to Germany, I try my best to speak. I'm in Frankfurt now. I ordered a coffee and was complimented on my pronunciation. He made sure to tell me that he understood everything I said clearly. A cool feeling...

@EscoTrajan @pcshipp I agree. Maybe not for all niches, but for some types of products, reddit is a great place to start just by having conversations.

I thought the first app I was building was going to be relatively easy because it's relatively simple. Turns out I was wrong.
