@RicHolden @LukeTaylorLD 'The TfL unions' stranglehold on our transport has to end,' says Reform UK's London mayoral candidate Laila Cunningham @policylaila as RMT set to hit the capital with walkouts covering four days... standard.co.uk/news/london/tu…

How to make a career grifting: Step One: have no fucking clue about a subject in ancient history. Don’t read any journals or literature. Don’t go to school. Step two: go as a tourist to these ancient sites and film ancient wonders of the world that everyone knows are truly remarkable. Step Three: act super surprised that you have no fucking clue how these places were built, because you have no education on the subject and truly don’t. “hOw DiD tHeY dO iT?” Step Four: Declare that all the experts (that you haven’t bothered reading) also don’t know how these sites were built or when they were built and tell the audience that they “are hiding things” to “keep a narrative” for some reason, despite that “narrative” constantly changing over the centuries. Step Four: Offer the most outlandish possible answers for these structures straight from the depths of your assholes with 0 evidence at all. Like: “it was a power plant” or “the orbs levitated the blocks and used lasers” or maybe, “aliens”. Step Five: let the money, ad revenue, sponsors and podcast invites pile up! You did it! You have made money and a career of misinforming the public and causing mass hysteria!

I’m so old I remember when South Africa had electricity 24 hours a day!

Saying people should read is a controversial topic over on Bluesky.
