That’s a heavy and painful account. If even half of this is true, then it raises serious questions about safety, abuse of power, and accountability. No citizen should live in fear, be tortured, or lose their livelihood like that, regardless of politics. This goes beyond partisanship. It’s about justice, human rights, and ensuring it never happens again. Silence on such matters only deepens the wound.

Herh, but Nana Addo really worry me ooo. I could not sleep in my own house. For four weeks, I had to stay at different places every day. Even when I walked a short distance, I would suddenly start running, even though no one was chasing me. I had sleepless nights. I had serious PTSD because these kidnappers told me, “We have a tracker on you and will come for you anytime.” I had to move to the Western Region and stay low for a while. They took my X account, my Gmail, and my iCloud, and blocked every way I could recover them. My laptop, phones, Ghana Card, passport, and other items they took are still missing. I even had to wear a mask. My safety and security were not guaranteed. I lost big ongoing deals, including one with 1xBet worth 2.5K dollars per month. I reached my lowest point and at one time felt like I was going to die. The whole of 2024 felt like Armageddon to me. I call myself an atheist, but I started reciting Psalms every day and night. I began to understand the wisdom in Jesus’ words when he said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” I did not have peace until after the elections. Even now, I still think about what I went through, the slaps, the beatings, the harsh words, the torture, and the state sponsored kidnapping, with fear and worry. What if? Interestingly, I later found out that I was not the only one who went through this. Nobody deserves that. That is why my issue with the past government and its leaders is still personal until the day justice is served.

The NDC does not, has never, and will never engage in or tolerate any form of state-sponsored kidnapping, harassment, torture, or unconstitutional intimidation of citizens — regardless of who they are or how strongly they criticize the government or its leaders. We completely reject and condemn such barbaric and illegal practices. We do not agree that any citizen deserves to be treated this way simply for expressing dissenting views or even for allegedly “insulting” the president and his wife. Criticism of leaders, even harsh criticism, is a fundamental right in a democracy. If any individual breaks the law, the correct and only acceptable response is to charge them openly in a court of law and allow due process to take its course — not to unleash illegal abduction, beatings, threats, or psychological terror. The NDC stands firmly for the rule of law, human rights, and the protection of every Ghanaian’s personal security and dignity. Now that the NDC is in government, we will never resort to such disgraceful tactics. We will uphold the Constitution and ensure that no citizen lives in fear of state-sponsored violence or intimidation. What happened to you under the previous administration was wrong, unconstitutional, and a gross abuse of power. Nobody deserves that kind of treatment. We demand that justice be served through proper legal channels so that such incidents never happen again under any government. Ghana must move forward as a true democracy where freedom of speech is protected and citizens can sleep peacefully in their own homes without fear of being hunted.@ndc_ketusouth @ndccommbureau

@Truthndc14 @BongoIdeas You call those uncultured attitude of this Bongo guy criticism? Then why did you issued a statement threatening to track people’s IP addresses on social media early last year? Sometimes being silent on setting issues is far better than exposing your disgraceful attitude.
