HE'S RIGHT 💯💯 I've noticed in my industry A Black Sub ( IF THEY SHOW UP) they're much slower. The work is quality but they drag ass. I learned from experience that you cannot use the same vetting process for Black sub contractors that you do for Hispanic or white. Brothers know how to talk and can have a good reputation but once they see you're a Black contractor hiring them it's like they think they can slack a little. Not to mention EVERY Black customer I've had has said "I normally don't hire Black contractors because they're not really good". Literally every one of them has said this to me even my Grandma and Aunts 😂 Which is crazy because I know that they are good. But I think they only work hard for their white customers. When my white customers hire me I know they're scared to say the same thing. Luckily I always leave a Home with a good reputation and because of that most ppl who wouldn't hire Black end up recommending me to their neighbors. That's how I was able to stay in business in Evergreen Colorado where all the Conservative Whites were living. They were always hiring me and recommending you. I started in the industry with a High end company and I was the only Black employee. I actually was forced to step up my game to match theirs. I was placed on the best crews because of it. Now when I hire Hispanic subcontractors to help me they are often surprised that I move at the same speed as them. Black Contractors gotta step up for their own or the work will DEFINITELY go to the Mexicans.
