Was a barista all through college and think about this way too much. This certainly applies to iced coffee cause you can drink it down quickly. For hot coffee, I think people are understandably averse to pouring out coffee into the trash. There is rarely a place to pour liquids in a coffee shop. Also I think you might be shocked to learn how much milk some people want in their coffee 😆

When they say “should I leave room in the (coffee) cup for cream” who is saying yes to that? There is always room anyway — no one is filling the coffee cup to the meniscus — and if you really want less coffee you can pour it out yourself. Not a lot of cases where the customer is requesting less of the thing they’re paying a flat fee for. And … it’s coffee!

I’m excited to try code layers. I’m only using Figma once every couple weeks, but it does feel like something has been lost - a big one being the ease of mashing together 50 different variants and comparing them side-by-side. Code on canvas could solve that.

Impressed by what Figma showed today - looks like some really tricky interaction and product problems addressed in creative ways.

Big news! Sebastian Koziel has joined Cosmos as VP of Engineering ☀️ Sebastian previously spent a decade at @meta, where he led feed ranking and recommendations for @instagram. He also founded IG Shopping Search and scaled it from 4 engineers to a 35-person org. It's hard to imagine a better fit. Sebastian has spent 15+ years working on search, recommendations, personalization, and shopping at scale. We couldn't be more excited to have him leading engineering!
