NCC Vibrant Village Programme by 3 Assam Bn NCC in villages of Pailapool, Lakhipur Sub Division 100 NCC Cadets, 05 PI, 01 GCI & 3 ANOs of 3 Assam Bn, part of Silchar Group NCC conducted a Vibrant Village Programme in Village Urabil, Kamranga, Dewan T.E., Khunjabasti, Konthagram of on 19 May 2026. The villages, located 35 km from Silchar between Assam & Manipur, were buzzing with slogans of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'. All NCC cadets showcased their discipline and unity with a march past promoting cultural heritage, awareness about Ek Bharat Sarvashrest Bharat, and other welfare schemes by the Government for development of our villages the foundation of our nation. The cadets on the way interacted with children and people from all ages and walks of life spreading the message of Health, happiness & Unity & Discipline across the environment. Inauguration of NCC Bn Premises by hon'ble CM of Meghalaya at Tura ! On the occasion of inauguration of the premises of 41 #Meghalaya Battalion #NCC at Tura, the Hon’ble #CM of Meghalaya #ConradKSangma graced the function along with Shri Vibhor Aggarwal #DC West Garo Hills, Brig KJ Singh, DDG NCC Dte NER. A Guard of Honour was presented to the Hon’ble CM, who appreciated the high standards of drill displayed by the #cadets. The Hon’ble CM unveiled the plaque, cut the ribbon and planted a #sapling under Hara Meghalaya Humara Sankalp. Cadet Emarian Tengangchi M Marak and Cadet Tengsal R Marak were felicitated for their outstanding achievements in shooting and RDC respectively. MEDICAL CAMP FOR ESM CONDUCTED AT DEMOW, SIVASAGAR DISTRICT A med camp for ESM was conducted at Demow by Indian Army with the active participation NCC cadets of 11 Assam Bn NCC, under NCC Jorhat Gp and NCC Dte, NER. Cadets helped the elderly ESM with compassion, dedication and a high level of motivation. The camp was attended by 188 ESM and their family members from local and nearby areas. Aqua Adventure Regatta 2026 organised by 12 Assam NCC Bn under the aegis of NCC Gp Jorhat / NER Dte Shillong successfully culminated at Umiam Lake on 16 May 2026 after an enriching 8-day adventure camp from 9-16 May. Cadets underwent intensive aqua adventure training, leadership activities, cultural events & sightseeing visits including Shillong Peak. The rally saw participation from 30 NCC cadets, 20 students and 16 ARPS cadets. The National Cadet Corps has commenced NER flying Camp 2026 at Imphal International Airport wef 11 May to 20 May 2026. Cadets got firsthand exposure to powered flying. A significant initiative in cultivating aviation awareness, discipline, and leadership among the youth.

Day 3 of CATC-18 at JNV Doomardallong saw PT, firing practice, classes on NCC dress, accoutrements, organisation and Army badges, followed by game parade and central roll call. Total camp strength remained 550 cadets under 10 Assam Bn NCC, Gp HQ Dibrugarh.

Lt Gen Mohit Wadhwa, Sena Medal, GOC 101 Area visited NCC Dte NER on 14 May 26 and was briefed by ADG on the role, activities undertaken by NCC and footprints of NCC across the North Eastern Region. The GOC appreciated the commendable work being carried out by NCC in the Seven Sister States specially in hinterland & border areas of NER. The GOC acknowledged the importance of disaster management training being imparted to NCC cadets as these trained cadets can be of great help during times of any natural calamity or emergency. 50 SD Cadets of 1 Assam Bn NCC, NER Dte undergoing the Basic Paramotor Course at NIMAS Paramotor Node, Panikheti, Guwahati continued intensive training on Day 10. Cadets carried out physical conditioning, paramotor operating drills and solo gliding sorties.
