@Educ8Liber8 @smorrisey Can I ask where you heard about this project and what the process looks like? I have had a hard time finding resources to see what it looks like.

If you’ve ever said any of these out loud (or in your head), we get it! This month on the podcast, we’re talking about small groups that actually make sense. 😀 Comment SMALL GROUP for March's podcast roadmap and our Small Group Listening Guide. 💙

@demetriosnAB Screening tools are helpful, but there needs to be a shift in the time that is needed to administer them. Right now hours of instructional minutes are lost to administering assessments in Sept when better tools exist that take far less time and collect the same data.

Premier Smith's CoS Rob Anderson won't listen to experts. Maybe he should listen to himself? According to Rob, the government is acting like a "dictator" by ripping away legal rights to impose a settlement. "That's wrong. That's not the Alberta way. That's not what we do here."

Experts eh?

@ABDanielleSmith Interesting, your shooting from a library. Our schools are often too full to have those anymore, and they are turned into classrooms. Where did you find all that space?

Today we announce Bill 2: the Back to School Act.   If passed, this bill will put student learning first, ensure our children return to the classroom on Wednesday, October 29th and legislate a fair reasonable collective bargaining agreement for Alberta teachers. On top of $8.6 billion to build and modernize 130 new schools, this deal will ensure: ✅ $70k to $119k salaries ✅ 3,000 extra teachers ✅ 1,500 more education assistants   We know there is more work that needs to be done. @MargaretAtwood you helped #abed teachers through the challenge of book censorship with @YourAlberta. Any chance you have a story brewing about what happens when public education is systematically dismantled and underfunded? Could be the start of a dystopian? #red4ed #weareata

How might we embed literacy into all subject areas? What tools and strategies can we use to help? Use AI to generate scrambled sentences to support integrating comprehension and writing with wetlands and ecosystems. #rvsed #rvsliteracy #writingrevolution
