BREAKING: HELL YES! Vietnam veterans hit Trump with a massive lawsuit to stop his hideous and “disrespectful” Triumph Arch from being erected in D.C. They didn't mince words about that draft-dodging coward... "We know how authoritarian dictatorships work. There's no rule of law, there's no consent of the governed, and there's monuments for the leaders there," said veteran and retired diplomat Jon Gundersen. "I think what we're doing is being loyal to the country. And loyalty can be measured in different ways," Gundersen added. He's suing the Trump administration along with veterans Shaun Byrnes and Michael Lemmon. Their lawsuit is joined by the ethics watchdog group Public Citizen. The arch, which Trump has admitted is being built to honor himself, is slated to go up between the Lincoln Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery, our country's most hallowed resting place. At over twice the size of the Lincoln Memorial, the 250-foot-tall eye sore would cut off a clear view between the memorial and cemetery — inserting Trump's ego smack dab in the middle of our national soul. "It's more about the duty I feel towards my colleagues and friends who did not come home to stand up against this project, regardless of who's in charge," said Byrnes. "I think it's just disrespectful to those that I served with who didn't come back, and then, of course, to all those who are lying in Arlington National Cemetery." He explained that he has always hoped to be buried at Arlington when he dies but if Trump's arch goes up he'll be forced to "reconsider" his options. The lawsuit argues that not only is Trump's vanity project arch illegal because he failed to obtain congressional approval, but it's also a disastrous design decision because it disrupts the intended sightline between the cemetery, which lies on land seized from Robert E. Lee, and the Lincoln Memorial, which was erected in the wake of the Civil War. Tellingly, the administration has yet to unveil a price tag for the arch. While Trump previously claimed that it would be fund by private donations (meaning corrupt pay-to-play bribes) he also said the same thing about his ballroom and is now seeking $1 billion to build that. “Even if you took private donations, is that how we want to build monuments?” said Gundersen. “To the oligarchs who give money for favors?" More to the point, what "triumph" is Trump celebrating? His Iran War is a world-historic debacle that will almost certainly end with Iran in direct control of the Strait Hormuz, cementing themselves as a preeminent world power. On the domestic front, it has been one defeat after another for the United States. Trump gutted Medicaid, destroyed our education and scientific research systems, and devastated our economy with harebrained tariffs and costly military adventurism overseas. The only Trump-related triumph will belong to the American people when we finally kick him and his entire party out of power. Please ❤️ and share if you oppose Trump's arch!

MAGA: “If you’re here legally, you have nothing to worry about.” Also MAGA: “Just comply and show your ID.” The reality: A U.S. citizen. Born in Colorado. Mother of four. Stopped in Lafayette, Louisiana. Shackled. Detained in an ICE facility anyway. She showed agents her state-issued ID and Social Security card. ICE reportedly called them “fake,” handcuffed her, chained her ankles, interrogated her, and transported her to a detention center. She was released hours later only after legal intervention. The lesson is not “show your papers.” The lesson is that papers don’t protect you when power decides not to read them. This is not “law and order.” This is state abuse. Fight Trump. Fight ICE: gofundme.com/f/PAXIS

Colbert does a whole joyous final show without mentioning Trump's name even once. Trump posts a rant calling him a "total jerk" and plays a video of him throwing Colbert in the dumpster. Who is the strong man and who is the weak one? Who is the secure man and who is the insecure one? Which one do you want your kids to be like?

@BKR1988NE @PolymarketHoops It might make more sense to make 3s only worth 2 and have outside the lane be worth 3. It sure would be more interesting.

Penny Hardaway believes the NBA has lost its appeal as a spectator sport 😬 “Over the years, to me, it’s just getting worse and worse. Not in a bad way. But for me to watch, because I’m in college, I see the fundamentals and playing team ball. And just shooting all the threes now is just a little irritating to me to just watch an NBA game. No one shoots layups anymore. It’s fun to watch for fans. But for guys that were pure in the game, it’s a little difficult.”

Trump shared on his account: “Donald Trump is now ranked among the top three presidents in U.S. history.” In reality, the Presidential Greatness Project, a survey of presidential historians, ranked Trump last overall among all U.S. presidents in history. How can you be so delusional as to say you are the best, while in reality you are the worst?!

BREAKING: Jen Psaki just hit a MAJOR nerve with a story on Eric Trump’s China trip — and now he’s suing her. As she does most every night on her MS Now program, Jen Psaki did a monologue on a current topic in the news. This time, however, Eric Trump lost his mind over what she had to say . The 42-year-old executive vice president of the Trump Organization took to X Wednesday night to threaten a lawsuit against Psaki and MS NOW after she reported on his presence alongside his father during the presidential trip to China — and connected it to a Financial Times story about a family-linked company pursuing a deal with a Chinese chipmaker tied to the Communist Party. "I have NEVER been on the board of ALT5," Eric fumed, adding that he has "zero business interests in China. No properties, no investments, nothing!" He concluded by insisting he joined the trip purely as "a loving son who adores my father." Sweet. But Psaki didn't make up the Financial Times reporting. She cited it. That report describes how ALT5 Sigma — a fintech company connected to Eric and the Trump family's crypto venture, World Liberty Financial — has a memorandum of understanding to explore a deal with a Chinese computer chip manufacturer to build AI data centers. Congress has warned that the Chinese firm in question has connections to the Chinese Communist Party. Eric and his brother were photographed ringing the New York Stock Exchange opening bell with the ALT5 name displayed behind them. Neither ALT5 nor the Chinese firm responded to the Financial Times for comment. The deal may or may not be real. But the reporting exists, and it raises exactly the questions Psaki raised. And those questions don't stop there. Just last month, Eric was on Fox Business bragging that one of his companies scored a $24 million Pentagon contract. Don Jr.'s company landed a nearly $5 million Air Force contract. Both brothers are now part-owners of a drone company angling for major Pentagon deals — while their father's administration controls Pentagon spending. All of this is happening while Trump's $10 billion IRS lawsuit seeks to shield the entire Trump family from financial audits. Forever. Eric wants to sue Psaki for asking whether someone should check the books. That answer tells you everything. Please like and share to spread the news.

My son just aged out of my health insurance. Two choices for him. Pay over $1,400 a month for COBRA or Pay over $400 a month on the Health Marketplace, which is actually the least expensive plan there. Apparently, I'm going to be paying for his cell phone forever to help him out. The system is not set up to help young adults succeed. Housing unaffordable. School is unaffordable and Healthcare unaffordable and you have the guy in the White House more concerned about gold for his ballroom and blue paint for the reflecting pool. #DemsUnited

Let’s not pretend this is complicated theology. It is not. You cannot stand in front of a golden statue built to glorify a political leader, surround it with preachers, bless it, praise it and then act shocked that the rest of us might consider it a false idol. ms.now/opinion/trump-…

Trump: “I don’t think about Americans’ financial situation. I don’t think about anybody.” MAGA: “I didn’t hear that.” -Here’s the quote. “He didn’t say that.” -Here’s the video. “Okay, he said it, but he didn’t mean it.” Trump on Fox New: “I meant every word. It’s a perfect statement. People love it.” MAGA: “WE LOVE IT!” 😭

Trump, yesterday, word for word - “I don’t think about Americans’ financial situation.” GOP Congressman: “He didn’t say that. GOP Senator: “I don’t have a comment.” JD Vance: “I don’t think the president said that.” GOP Senator: “He didn’t say that. You’re taking him out of context. Speaker Johnson: “He cares. We talk about it constantly.” GOP Congressman: “He didn’t say that.” And on and on and on and on and…

This is a fair question to all evangelical Christians, including myself: “Dear conservative evangelicals; You gave him a pass on “grab them by the pussy.” You don’t mind that he’s an Olympics-class liar. A thirty-four count fraud conviction didn’t faze you. Not even an adjudication of rape bothered you. He’s mentioned in the Epstein documents literally 38,000 times. You don’t find it odd that he’s personally blocking the release of three million of those files. He’s the most corrupt politician in American history. He’s broken all ten of the Ten Commandments. Including taking the lives of 153 little girls whose only crime was being in school. And then he lied about it. He doesn’t go to your church. He doesn’t go to ANY church. He cheats at golf. He cheats at business. He cheats contractors. He cheats on his wives. He cheats in elections. He’s profane. Crooked. Disrespectful. Selfish. Driven by greed. By ego. By revenge. Yet here you are worshipping a golden idol in his likeness. So what is it about YOU that makes you a Christian? Bruce Lindner”

🚨BREAKING: The President of the United States, on national television, just openly stated he is willing to violate the Constitution. Trump said he would send the National Guard or ICE to voting locations in November and “do anything necessary.” But that’s illegal… You cannot place armed federal agents at polling places to influence or intimidate voters. It’s exactly what the Constitution and federal election law are meant to prevent.

Thomas Massie: The Epstein scandal is “deeper and darker” than anyone imagined. “It’s bigger than Watergate.” “It’s bigger than Iran-Contra.” “It’s not about Joe Biden or Donald Trump.” “There are degrees of evil here that we’ve never seen at this scale … ” “Our government was compromised by wealthy, connected billionaires, and by Jeffrey Epstein himself.” “At the age of 14, these girls that were being sexually abused by Jeffrey Epstein were told if they could go find another girl to take their place, then they wouldn’t have to be sexually abused.” “And some of them took that deal.” “It’s one thing to be evil to a child.” “It’s another thing to get a child to do evil.” “The light sentence that was given to Jeffrey Epstein in 2008 that allowed him to victimize hundreds of more women, we want to know, why was he given that light sentence?” @RepThomasMassie @MassieforKY @Local12

@Maren_Angus I remember back in about 2001 or so when basketball at the Devaney Center went away from letting football season ticket holders have first chance at seating. It definitely improved the experience and fan engagement by letting real basketball fans actually get better seats.

You cannot ask people to invest emotionally and financially in softball, celebrate the sport's growth, and then tell those same fans they come in second when postseason tickets are available. Nebraska softball earned this stage. The people who built the culture around it deserved better. My column for @HuskerMax: si.com/college/nebras…

@Maren_Angus @korupteddonkey UNL Athletics is embracing a culture of money grabbing. Would expect coin operated bathroom stalls soon. A perk of buying season tickets should be locking in seats for post season. But in the money grab era. They want to give preference to donor points. Needs to stop now.

In the wake of 18 Nebraska athletes losing their arbitration case against the College Sports Commission. NU Athletic Director Troy Dannen has the following comment: "I am proud of our football student-athletes and how they represented themselves during this process and the patience they have shown. We continue to operate within the parameters of the House settlement and the CSC process, while monitoring changes in the collegiate landscape. We fully support all our student-athletes maximizing the value of their Name, Image and Likeness during their time at the University of Nebraska."
